Hi girls
I know you have to remove nail varnish for surgery
But what are the rules for shellac does anyone know? Xx

Yes same rules. They need to be able to see any colour change in your nails for oxygen sats x

Ild ring your clinic, ive seen that it needs to be removed but some places allow you to just have a clean index finger, but its worth checking with THG xx

I had surgery with THG on Wednesday and all nail polish has to be removed x

I was allowed clear nail extensions (white tips) but no nail polish. xx

There are a few clinics that are a little more lenient and will allow for acrylics to be left on as long as the toes are polish free and they have access to the nail beds to check oxygen levels there. But the majority to insist on both fingers and toes being clear.
If you're really hoping you don't dont have to remove from your fingers a call to see if you can leave them on takes a minute lovely... Afterall, the worst they can say is no isn't it, so its worth a try if you want to chance it. Xx

Nail varnish had to be removed in my case too for all the reasons mentioned above.
