I broke - just smoked 4 days b4 op
I know how bad smoking is before surgery - i really do. I have tried my hardest to stop but i have just broken.... I have just smoked 1 and so worried it will affect my surergy that is in just 4 days. I am not going to smoke anymore now for certain as it's not worth it. Will that be enough time for the nicotine to get out my system?? xxx

There's no point beating yourself up now lovely
Best thing to do is like you've already said hun. Get back on the wagon and no more now lovely.
It must be incredibly difficult to stop smoking especially if you enjoy it and don't really want to stop, but you know for the benefit of your healing its just something you have to do babe.
If you get any urge again babe, do just come here and have a chat until we've got you've got you through.
We really will be here for you babe, so please do use us

What's done is done now. All you can do is try and not smoke anymore. I am a smoker so know it's not easy sweetie but your op is important. No point beating yourself up just try and stay strong... the craving only lasts for 3 minutes and soon passes. Just think how much better you will feel after the op for not having smoked. Your body will come through the aneasthetic better and your body will heal better too.
Sorry if I sound like I'm preaching....
Tomorrow is another day sweetie - onwards and upwards x
