Re: Sleeping
From responses I've seen before on this one I think you just have to have your head and shoulder higher than your chest to help the swelling go down xx I'm not looking forward to this bit either! :( xx

Re: Sleeping
It's not nice to sleep like it, but it's not for long. You get so shattered that you just get used to it and sleep in the end. I just slept on a v pillow head and shoulders above.

Re: Sleeping
Yep crispybacons right, your head just needs to be raised to encourage blood flow... You don't have to sleep sitting up at all :) xx

Re: Sleeping
Ohhhh you'll need lots of pillows lol
Your head and shoulders only need to be raised higher than your chest. No need to sat bolt upright at all.
To make yourself comfortable though, you may need two pillows and your V-pillow behind you. A pillow under your knees to take the pressure away from your back, a pillow under each arms because your arms too will need support and a rolled towel with a hot water bottle inside place by your lower back.
Sounds like a lot of fuss just to get to sleep doesn't it lol. But the more support you give your back the less it will hurt. Back problems are one the downfalls of healing after a BA, so sorting your pillow castle out at bedtime and when up focusing on your posture and trying not to stoop will all help for a good nights sleep and and easier time on your back. Xx

Re: Sleeping
The fort really does help girls. Honestly... The backache can be more painful than the boobs, so making yourself as comfortable as possible and trying to take as much pressure as possible off your back is going to help lots. Xx

Re: Sleeping
I am also a side sleeper and found the first couple of days home from the hospital quite difficult sleeping relatively upright. Now I'm nearly a week along, I can quite happily turn my hips and knees over to the side whilst snuggling my top half a qtr turn into my V pillow. Hope that makes sense lol
