So I've read a few confusing things.

What are the do's and don't for sleeping in your first month post op?

When do the 'rules' become relaxed.

I know it's different for every person but just roughly :)

You have to sleep propped up for the first couple weeks until the swelling goes down. But propped up doesn't mean upright, just to keep blood flow downwards and drain the swelling. Then the nurse should let you know when you can sleep flat again, and if you can side sleep. But just coz you're allowed, doesn't mean you can! As always, listen to your body, and do what's most comfy for you!

Personally I went without the v pillow, but did use a travel pillow. I'm still a little up right (2 instead of 1pillow), but because it encourages me to stay on my back, as the side is still a little sore. but there's no real rules, per say

I'm still back sleeping 3 weeks on. I could easily and i think comfortably curl up on my right side but have resisted the temptation as i am too worried about moving the implant. My surgeon did suggest back sleeping for 2 months for scar tissue to properly form. It has been difficult and i often wake up with a backache from sleeping in the same position all night but have propped pillows around me so that makes it a bit easier

As long as your head and shoulders are raised higher than your chest... That's as propped up as you need be lovely.

It can be difficult at first if you're not normally a back sleeper, but building yourself a pillow castle (2pillows and a v-pillow behind you head, a pillow under each arm, a rolled towel with a hot water bottle in it placed in the small of your back and a pillow under your knees) to make yourself comfortable helps. :ok:

You just have to be slightly raised for the first couple of weeks, head about heart level. Then it will depend on your surgeons advice. I was on my back for 3 months, I hated it but its all for the boobs xx

That pillow castle sounds awesome! Especially the hot water bottle as I already suffer from lower back pain.

I think I'm probably still going to make up on my side :S but all I can do is try. Just going to keep telling myself that haha.

You won't roll on your side Nire... The pillows under your arms will prevent this from happening. Xx
