V fest for the day 2 weeks post op
Do you think I'll be ok? Might just have to wear a suit of armour in case anyone knocks me? Any recovery stories welcome! I'm going overs on 2nd August and v fest is on 18th aug so 16days following op.

hi hun,
its difficult to say because everyone recovers differenly!
though in general one might say that overs recover slightly faster than unders, you just don't know how your body will deal with it until you get there.
for myself with unders i was perfectly fine to go back to work, on walks and out for dinner or to the pub (sitting down) after 2 weeks.
but i wouldn't have wanted anyone to bump me like you said! at 4 and half weeks i still am careful on the tube.
also think about that standing around for longer periods of time will tire you out, and you won't want to be dancing or jumping around with those new boobies hun.
but best to see how you feel on the day really and remember to take it easy x

I personally don't think you'll manage it hun.
At a festival it VERY likely you're going to take a knock and that's going to hurt believe me babe. You'll also be VERY tired at this stage and walking around on your feet all day is going to make your boobs swell and they'll probably hurt hun.
If it were a night out when you could sit and have a few drinks, you 'may' manage that IF you felt good, but I doubt you'll manage a festival babe.
You're also going to have buy a ticket too and none of us can predict how well your recovery is or that you won't have a complication that might put back your recovery.
Its really up to you I'd you want to chance it babe, but for me personally. I'd rather be home safe and resting at just 2 weeks post-op babe and not risk losing the money I spent on a ticket too. Xx

I wouldn't have wanted to go to a festival at 2 weeks post op hun xx I couldn't have coped with anywhere crowded. However if you don't intend to mingle with the rest of the crowd and plan to sit and chill then you might be ok.
But everyone heals differently and you won't know how you feel until you get to 2 weeks post op. I personally wouldn't commit to it xx

I really don't think it'd be wise. Have you been before? You just wouldn't be able to enjoy it, you'd spend the whole time worrying about your boobs, and it would be exhausting. I know it's tempting if you've already got your ticket, but what's the cost of that against doing something that might hinder your recovery?

Re: V fest for the day 2 weeks post op
That's really helpful ladies thank you - i've got a day ticket already for the Sunday and have had it since Christmas. I have the opportunity to bring my op forward to the 2nd which is next Friday but originally I had it for the 20th so it sounds as though I should keep it fir the 20th otherwise the festival won't be enjoyable and I don't want to ruin it for hubby too. 20th Is actually the day after we come home from V fest so it just makes more sense! So cookie I'll put my calender op date back to the 20th then please chick? Thanks again everone - V glad i asked now! Xxx

Re: V fest for the day 2 weeks post op
I'm 2 weeks post op tomorrow& there's no way i'd be going to a festival, would be tooo much to deal with a this stage of the recovery. Am still quickly exhausted after a day on my feet, still feeling very sensitive and fragile... I think you might want to take it easy at just 2 weeks babe xxxxx good luck :-))

Re: V fest for the day 2 weeks post op
It's difficult isn't it to try and judge. I think because my boobies are soo important to me and I'd rather a) not ruin it for hubby being sober and him on another level entirely having lots to drink (it's only the 2 of us going) and b) risk hurting myself - I'm going to keep my op date for the 2nd next Friday - see how I feel and if I can't manage it then I'll give my ticket to his brother (sob!) but there really is no other dates I can move the op to for after v fest, as we have a mini cruise and weddings in September (secretly pleased that I don't have to wait until 20th!) if I don't end up going then I won't be that disappointed because I'll have big boobies to massage instead! Lol! Thank you girls - learnt lots from that one post right there! Xxx

No, you won't be able to go to a festival that early sorry to say! plus if you did change your op date, you wouldn't be able to drink alcohol 2 weeks before it x
