HOPE YOU DONT MIND ME ASKING....
I have noticed a lot of you are having re-ops very soon asfter your original surgery.
I hope you dont mind me asking but what is going wrong that is making so many of you have more surgery? Are your ops going wrong, were you mis-informed on size/type of implant or placement? I want to be armed with lots of information before I book my surgery as I dont want to have to go through it again for at least 10 years! (also I couldnt afford to!)
Apologies for being so nosey

There's lots of reasons why people have re-ops. It's mainly due to complications. You never know if you're going to get a complication that requires a re-op soon after your original op, it's just the risk we all take x

Re: HOPE YOU DONT MIND ME ASKING....
Is it right that the warranties only cover the implants and not the surgery itself? If so I guess I better wait a bit longer and save up incase I have any problems :( x

Re: HOPE YOU DONT MIND ME ASKING....
Usually you will have cover for grade 3/4 CC and rupture for a certain amount of time which if you have problems in that time then you will have a re op for free... After that then depending on what implant you have and what company you've gone with you will have the cost of the implant covered. I think it's important to remember though that this is a support forum so someone has had problems then they will stand out here, a BA is very popular and done hundreds of thousands of times each year so it's just a risk you take, xxx

I think you're right there Jennifer lots of people are fine it is only the ones with problems who are drawn to this site looking for support. Plenty of people will be fine after surgery so don't need to look for these sites! xxx

Re: HOPE YOU DONT MIND ME ASKING....
Very true! I was going to go with THG. I think its 10 years aftercare and lifetime warranty on the actual implants but will find out for sure this time next week :) x

That sounds right to me Laura, although it may be that the lifetime warranty only is for the premium implants not the CUI :) xx

Re: HOPE YOU DONT MIND ME ASKING....
Your 'aftercare' is completely different to the 'implant warranty'
With THG you will get 3 years cover for complications this is what's covered by the aftercare.
The implants THG use are Allergan. Whether you have the standard CUIs or the premium Natrelles you will be covered for the cost of 100% for a re-op in the event of having a rupture.
After the 10 years, should you have a rupture the Natrelles will then offer a 'free implant only' to replace the ruptured ones. Xx

Re: HOPE YOU DONT MIND ME ASKING....
this is a support forum so the majority of women here are pre op or have recently had their BA. many women come on here and after their BA everything is fine so they no longer require the support and move on, thats why it seems to be a high proportion of people needing re-ops.
