what can i do at the gym...
hi
so im on countdown to go back to the gym next week!
my surgeon said take it easy and build it up but what does that exactly mean?
i usually do a lot of running but the thought is scaring me to death!
any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
thanks x

You'll tire very easily babe and find you feel quite weak to begin with. Don't be afraid to start running, you'll be fine after being given the all clear. Your body will let you know when you've had enough and if you ache a lot the next day, don't do as much, take things a little easier and your body will let you know the pace your OK with. Xx

It'll soon return babe... But it will take a couple weeks to get there. Xx
Re: what can i do at the gym...
I am waiting to get back next week too! I was worried about running but after a really long walk with the dog I needed the toilet and I ended up having to run home (I was in agony for the loo!) and ended up running the last mile home! It was either that or a nice accident en route! It felt okay and to be honest it was my legs the next day that hurt the most. I can't wait to get back to swimming and exercise but I am going to take it real slow and build up - good luck at the gym xx

Re: what can i do at the gym...
I'd advise you also wear a VERY good sportsbra too.
I can personally recommend the Triumph Triaction extreme. Your boobs are VERY secure in that bra.
You may not have had to worry about boobs pre-BA, but when running you're going to be putting a lot of pressure on your boobs and you're going to want to offer them as much protection as possible to help avoid premature sagging now. X

Hi ya, I'm not at this stage yet as Pre BA but my surgeon suggested wearing 2 sports bras in different makes for running as they should support in different areas therefore giving u the maximum support. I can imagine it would make u feel more secure!
I am worried about this, sounds like u enjoy ur exercise. I hope u get back in the swing with what feels right with ur new boobs
Xxxx

Re: what can i do at the gym...
I always started back with spinning as its not lifting any weight on chest and could take it easier if needed. I then went to pilates and bodybalance classes where weight was body weight so could be careful. After that I went back to Bodycombat and Bodyattack and in about week 3 of back at gym so week 9 post of was back at bodypump with lighter weights. xxx
