book through a company or the surgeon directly?
Hi girls,
2 different companies I have booked consultations with have both cancelled my consultations.. which is not only annoying it is very disheartening & made me feel very let down that I haven't even got as far as having a consultation yet! :( cant even get my foot in the door !
I have booked a consultation directly through the surgeon now (more expensive consulation fee but worth it) in the hope that they wont cancel !
Do the bigger commercial companies tend to cram lots of people in at once so not everyone can be seen so therefore they cancel some appointments ? is this why I keep getting cancelled?
Has anyone booked consultations/surgery directly through the surgeon before? How was your experiences?

i'd say so, i had consultations with transform, mya and the hospital group each one i only got about 5 minutes with the surgeon... the surgeon i eventually went with, i booked him through a small company, but was with him for around an hour x

Yes I agree some of the larger companies seem to do this or book you with a nurse or pcc first which is annoying as well! The company I went with were very good and went out of their way to make appts suit me before and post op, all of which where lenghty enough for my needs.
I haven't heard anything that company Hun, are they like a 3rd party/middleman?

aww hun i feel your frustration, obviously having the right surgeon is no.1 priority but you need to have faith in the clinic too should you need to see anything resolved at all post op and they're not giving you much faith atm are they. You will get there in the end, chin up :) we're all here for ya! x

I booked through a large company, however if I had known I could have booked directly with my surgeon I would have done so. But I didn't have any issues with appointments being cancelled.

Hi Lozzy, I think we all need to base our decision on our own personal experiences, for me im booked with transform and ive been really happy with them so far...Only good things to say. However, if you have been treated badly by a larger company if it is transform or similar, then for me that would be a big turn off because you need to trust them.
If I was you ild look elsewhere or if I was set on seeing a surgeon that only worked for them ild maybe give them one last chance...its up to you...keep us updated :) xx
