Welcome hun!! Two weeks will fly in! I am pre BA too, but what I have learnt from the ladies on here is trust your surgeon.. Everyone has a different recommendation because we are all different. As a nurse though, I deffo think you should quit smoking, it will give you a much better recovery and better health in general.
Are you excited?? xxx

Re: hi am new, pre BA
Hello and welcome to Breast Buddies Leanne and congrats on booking you BA
As you're pre BA you might find the information we have in the 'Breast Augmentation Information' section of the forum of interest to you. Its filled with so much to help you better understand the procedure and to help yourself feel better prepared. Any questions or concerns you might have just ask away in the 'General Breast Augmentation' section of the forum were no BA questions ever go unanswered and our lovely ladies will always be more than happy to help you if they can.
you may also like to stop by the July Buddies thread which is a sticky at the top of the general breast aug section and where all of our July Buddies tend to congregate and chat, sharing all those emotions you go through on the run up to your ba and beyond with those going through the same at the exact same time as yourself.
lastly, you might like to post your surgery details in the 'Calendar Entries' section of the forum (not the actual calendar) so we can all send on our good luck wishes your way on your special day!
Enjoy the forum Leanne

Hi welcome to the site! Have you meet a few surgeons before choosing the one your going with?
The surgeon is the expert and overs are always the first choice unless you have very little breast tissue, like above, we are all individual so can't say what size your going to be but I'm 5'9 size 12 and a 34b and at the moment I'm going with 410 after asking for Dd/E .. Good luck on stopping smoking xx

Re: hi am new, pre BA
Hi hun x welcome to the site x what size did your surgeon say you should end up? There is no guarantee as to size. Even the very best of surgeons can only give a guesstimate. I an 5ft 6, 8st 11lbs. I had 325cc and went from a very saggy 32A to a 30/32 F!
If you type your surgeon and/or clinic name into the search bar you might find out more info hun xx
Good luck with your boobie journey x

Nooooo its OK hun. Nothing you've done wrong at all
The questions on your post Leanne, if you ask them in the General Breast Augmenation section of the forum you'll get a much better response in that section hun.
I just want to enable you to get the very best from the forum and not miss out on possible information you may find helpful because the majority of members know this section is for intro only.

To answer your questions Leanne - I hope you forgive my stupidity, I'm not normally like this I promise lol.leannejkl wrote:Hiya, in just under 2 weeks i am having BA at the belvedere clinic, i am going to 455cc i am a size 12/14 34a at the moment, does anyone know what size i should go, also he said i should have over, but reading a lot i am not sure with that anymore, any advice please? also been told i HAVE to quit smoking which i am trying my hardest to do as i want this so much and dont want to be turned down on the day for smoking lol
About sizing lovely. As you're still so unsure a second consultation with your surgeon would probably be your best bet babe to help get the best from your surgery. This isn't at all uncommon, infact most girls have at least two consultations before surgery.
You may also find this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] helpful.
In regard to the overs/partials debate you may find the information given to us from a BAAPS surgeon, James McDiarmid helpful to you [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
In regard to smoking lovely, this must I imagine be so hard for you but to get the best from your recovery it really would be beneficial to you to tray and stop if you can. The nicotine in your system restricts the oxygen in the blood thus proven to possibly prolong healing or worse raise the risk of infection.
If there's anything at all we can do to help you quit please know we're here for you Leanne. Even if its just for someone to chat too whilst you're craving. There's generally always someone around should you need us.
Maybe add an 'I quit smoking' ticker to your signature to help motivate you as you see how great you'll be doing.
Of course if you simply can't stop then at least do try and cut down as much as you can and discuss how long before surgery you'd have to have no nicotine in your system at all with your surgeon.
Hope this helps Leanne xx

Re: hi am new, pre BA
Thanks i was confused then thinking i had posted else where when i thought i had dont in the general bit lol no worries tho just glad i did not mess up the first time i posted!!
The surgery i have already paid in full so if i go else where i will lose some of the money which i cant afford to do, i really messed up not seeing others before hand.
he did say he wanted me to have overs cos he said i have enough breast tissue to do so, but then i have read some do overs cos its easier. its like going in blind cos we dont know what we will be like till after, lol
thanks everyone for your advice and thanks for the links i will have a look.

Nahhh, not you at all Leanne. It was a major boob on my part - no pun intended lol. Xx

Focus on the now then Leanne - you can have a second consultation before surgery so don't be shy of calling your clinic and arranging another consultation. Write all your queries down and you can then go through them with the surgeon and asking them to clear up the reasons why they made their decisions.
youre paying A LOT of money for this surgery Leanne, so get your money's worth! And be sure you come away confident, happy and assured that you're getting what you want from this surgery.

Don't be shy of bringing this up with your surgeon. You want a BA tailored to meet YOUR body requirements and be sure to let them know that. If you have enough breast tissue though (generally a 2cm pinch) then overs are the best option for any woman as explained by James in the link I left hun. Xx
