Day six!!
Hello ladies :-) Day six today!!
Yesterday I woke up stiff and really uncomfortable but once I was up I felt loads better. I also felt like having a bit of breakfast too. I decided to stop my strong pain killers as they were sending my head funny and made me really sleepy. I took strong paracetamol instead. It took the edge of the pain which was good. My arm felt more mobile again yesterday and I even managed to hug my baby sitting down and fed her a bottle (happy times) God how I miss doing the day to day routine. I'm lucky to have my mums help as I still can't do too much. she even washed my hair yesterday for the first time which made me feel more alive! Yesterday afternoon was pretty comfortable so I went clothes shopping :-)
By the evening I'd tightened my strap after a call from my nurse. This caused some discomfort and shooting pains. All in all everyday I'm getting stronger and feeling better. Night times aren't great, especially when I cough OUCH!! But its to be expected. I am feeling good this morning too. Just looking forward to picking up my daughter and cleaning the whole house. Oh and having a wonderful bath or shower :-)
Xxx

Re: Day six!!
aw how old is your baby? Thank you for the updates, sounds like the worst is over now, just hope that you manage to get some more cuddles with your baby soon.
I am worrying about dealing with my 2 and 4 year old after the op, my husband going to take 2 weeks off initially but it will be after this time, be interested to know how you feel as time goes by.

Re: Day six!!
Hi ladies. I've done great today :-) I still can't drive as i cant move the gears but I'm lucky to have my mum to drive me about. I have three children who are aged 12, 7 and 14 months. My yongest is such a mummies girl. I really miss feeding her and putting her to bed. I've done a little tiding up today and even shaved my own legs!! Haha!
Haha Cookie, you're right about the sneezing!! I only sneezed once and it killed me! Luckily I don't suffer from hayfever. :-D
I'm sticking to your advice ladies and enjoying the rest while I can. My boobs are feeling more normal today and looking better by the day too. My breastbone and under my boobs are still numb but I'm sure that's just temporary. I'm working on my picture trail and hoping to have it ready for you on Friday evening, which will be one week post op.
I can finally see the light at the end of this painful, frustrating tunnel :-) Im looking forward to reading your updates too :-) xxx
