Day three!!
Morning again ladies. As most of you know I had my BA at 9am Friday morning. Yesterday wasn't too good. The pain is quite upsetting at some points throughout the day. Sorry for being negative and remember everyone heels differently. I didn't sleep much last night as I couldn't get comfortable. My arms, back and chest feel like someone is sat on them restricting my breathing. I can breath tho so no one call an ambulance :-) the band is really uncomfortable and causes me more pain but I guess it's meant to. My cuts are under the breast which haven't bothered me since last night when they started to burn a little. I can't wait to feel better. Anyway, on a positive note, my boobs look fab!! I'd go through this 10x to have great boobs :-)

Re: Day three!!
I felt just like you and it's miserable. Day four to five was the turning point for me, not that I felt great but certainly better than previously. It will get better I promise, each day you are healing and recovering but it's a long road I think we forget sometimes we've had major surgery. Keep on top if your meds, sleep when you can, I was like an owl up at night and slept in the day. In fact I slept on the sofa as it felt the most comfortable. You will feel better hope you manage to get some rest xxxx

Re: Day three!!
Thank you Blue, the meds help me relax which is good. Not long for you now :-) I hope you're excited!! Xx
Thank you Happy. That's encouraging to hear. Day 4 tomorrow!! :-) Did you have a band too?
I feel better on the sofa too and also a night owl. My poor daughter who is 14 months is really confused as to why I'm not picking her up :-/ She's being really good tho. Xx

Re: Day three!!
Awww sorry your in lots of pain but defo keep it up with your tablets it will help. Day four was my better day few pains here and there but not as much as the first few days. It's been a week now for me and i have been off the pain killers since friday. But i think alot of ladies feel alot of discomfort in the few days but think of the trauma your body has just been through. It's all worth it though I hope your feeling better in these next few days xx

Re: Day three!!
Ahhhhh the dreaded day 3
This is generally the day when the majority of the swelling kicks in babe and when for many this day is the most uncomfortable.
Ice packs really help lots through this Cazzi, if you don't have any then a bag of frozen rice/peas/corn will do... Infact anything! Grab a frozen pork chop and lay it across the top of your boobs haha! Seriously though babe. The ice packs are amazing and will help. Be sure not to lay them near your incisions though.
The incisions stinging too... Very normal hun. If you have any panty liners or sanitary towels, pop one of those (sticky side against the bra) over the incisions. This acts as a nice comfy cushion to protect your incision from the pressure of the bra band.
As bad as you might feel too babe, the worst thing you can possibly do for yourself is stay in bad the whole time. If you can get up and have a gentle walk around the house every couple of hours or so, this really is going to help you. I'm not saying go mad.... Just a gentle walk and then back to bed or the sofa and sleep if you need to. This too is going to help reduce that swelling. Please though Cazzi, don't overdo it. Listen to your body and do what you can when you can. Xxxx

Re: Day three!!
Thank you for all your support, it has really helped me stay positive. Yes Jennifer, it will be worth it :-) thanks for the advice Cookie. My nurse told me just to wear the band and not a sports bra until two weeks time. Do you think this is right? I've had a better afternoon, thankfully. Been able to breath better and take myself to the toilet haha! Thank you halo for your advice too and welcome to the forum lounn17

Re: Day three!!
Focus on just getting through this week by keeping on top of meds, I promise by this time next week you'll be amazed at how much better you'll feel and how much more you can do and not feel sore. XXX

Re: Day three!!
Thank you mirren. I will keep positive :-)
I have walked about and kept on top of my meds. This afternoon was far better than yesterday and this morning. I've been taking loads of photos and keep reminding myself of all those pretty clothes I will be able to wear :-) xx

its right for YOU babe.
Its best to not follow the instructions anybody else is given babe. Its very common to be advised not to wear a bra especially for some in the early days if the surgeon doesn't feel all that support is going to help right now.
dont forget, your post-op care is tailored to YOU babe to help you get the best from your surgery and the very best result possible. Xx
