What bra should I buy?
Hello girlies!
My BA is in a weeks time!! So excited!
Going shopping today and buying post op bras, I don't have much money so just wondering if anyone knows any good places for bras.
My PCC said there are ones in asda and all I have to buy is a support bra with no padding or underwire! Is this true?
Thanks girls

You must be really excited that your BA is only a week away!!
I don't have much to suggest to be honest but I'm hoping to also get some advice from the lovely ladies on here. My initial plan was to go to M&S or Debenhams but if Asda have a good support bra then I think as long as it is doing it's job then it should be ok?

Re: What bra should I buy?
I personally wouldn't recommend the Asda bras. There's not much support in them at all and whilst healing your boobs do need the stability of a 'good' sportsbra to help them adhere to the breast pocket.
Which type of sportsbra is up to you.
My personal preference is the M&S zipped from sportsbra, or the Triumph Triaction extreme.
Others that are popular amongst the ladies here are The Macom (this bra needs no cup size, it fits all) and Shock absorbers, as well as M&S's 2 pack of 'high impact' sportsbras for £25.
If you buy back fasteners you can buy bra extenders too which are great to accomodate any swelling you may have and saves you having to buy larger bras. Xx

Hi Hayley, I can't help you about asda bras because I brought mine m&s and a Macom!! I've heard a lot of girls here did but a few cheaper ones In different sizes though until after their BA and like above, I'm sure they will be along with their recommendations too :) I love my m&s ones even though I don't fit in them yet but they zip up at the front aswell which is an advantage!! Re: What bra should I buy?
You'd be best getting 3 sizes then babe. A 32C as instructed. A 34C and a 32D.
These 3 sizes will cover all bases, should you have a lot of swelling around the ribs, the 34 will be best, a lot of swelling in the bust, the D will be best and if you've little swelling then the recommended size will be best.
Keep all tags on and keep the receipts and then when you know your size you can then take back the bras that didn't fit to exchange for a bras that does. The other bra you can get a refund on.
You'll only 2 throughout your recovery babe (one on and one in the wash).
Don't worry about your size now babe. It just last minute jitters. We mostly all get them and size is the biggest of all.
You chose your surgeon because you trusted their judgment, so trust now lovely that they will give you the look you've been hoping for xx

Thanks for the info Cookie, I will go and have a look at M&S i think!
Hayleii - my surgeon told me to get the same size bra as i am now as he wants it to be "very tight" for the first few weeks. So don't be too disheartened, I'm sure that when your swelling goes down and you drop and fluff you will have a lovely size

Re: What bra should I buy?
Its just I'm literally a nothing but I'm having 230cc high profile overs so anything is going to be big on me but when you read about and people who say 230 is a small implant it scared me because I want to be a c, I don't want two small tennis balls haha xx

Re: What bra should I buy?
230CCs on a small frame isn't a small implant at all hun. Infact it goes a long, long way. You have to bare in mind women's frames lovely and their breast width diameter. The smaller you are the less CCs are need per cup size. Xx
Re: What bra should I buy?
Yer hayley dont worry about having tennis balls haha! Like cookie said that sized implant will go a long way on you seeing as your so petite! :) Just you wait!!
About the bra extenders.. look on ebay as there really cheap there... i got told look in la senza too but i couldnt find any xx

Hey Hun.. I had my BA just over a week ago .. I'm 20, was a 32aa (if even?) 7st5lb and 5ft6. I had 255 anatomical unders and now a 32C (sports bra - although maybe bigger in normal bras) I think 230 will definitely get u a C. See my avi :) xx

Re: What bra should I buy?
Hi Hayleii! The M&S zipfronts are awesome! But to accommodate the swelling ive had to get one up a size and down a cup, so Im currently wearing 38Bs. Once my ribcage swelling goes down, im hoping everything settles back into the 36C i was after. I've also got a couple of cheap Matalan sports bras, but they dont give you as much side support as you might need.
Also, you can get bra extenders from Ann Summers, £6 for 3pk.

Re: What bra should I buy?
Theyre normally in the fishbowls with other assorted, ahem, goodies! I got some months ago when Primark stopped doing their inflatable insert bras - they were perfect for putting chicken fillets in! Oh well, wont be needing them anymore

The Macom is great as you only need to know your back size x I also used the marks and spencer high impact sports bras and the shock absorber which is definatly my favourite xx
