I want to know this answer aswell. I was up at every hour and now my back is aching. I have my V pillow and I think it's helping but lower back is really starting to ache now xx

Re: How Long
i was around 2 weeks then i kinda cuddled into my v pillow but you dont need to sleep raised up and if you put a pillow under your knees this takes pressure off your back xx

Re: How Long
It's generally around 2 weeks but it really all depends on your personal healing and swelling.
Have you tried a pillow under your knees, a rolled towel and a hot water bottle in the small of your back and a pillow placed under each arm in addition to using the V-pillow? This helps to support your back and relieves the pressure lovely. The back pain is awful I know, but unfortunately to help the swelling subside, sleeping upright is essential.
Thinking about your posture helps too. We tend to instinctively hunch to protect our new boobs at first, so trying to stand upright when your standing and walking round helps lots too. Xx

Re: How Long
I was also advised 2 weeks, I suffered terrible back pain and used a hot water bottle to ease the pain. Also ensure your posture while sitting and walking around is normal as we all tend to take on a bit of a protective hunch over our boobs in the first few weeks and we do it subconciously, so check you aren't doing it too much and correct yourself if you notice yourself doing it.

My back is killing too but I just love getting up and walking round I can just feel the pressure ease! X
