Sits fine Nicola... Often scars can look a lot worse before they get better hun and at just 3 months into your recovery you're scars are still very early in their healing and will take a year or more before you'll see the final result. Xx
Re: is it possible???
thanks cookie, but its not on the scar but above on normal breast tissue ... do you think its still ok?

Its possible it is scar tissue if is directly above the scar.
If its not scar tissue and actually on your breast tissue then its not normal babe and should be investigated as you are doing. If it were me babe and you did suspect infection then you should be able to see the clinic nurse anytime and the sooner you catch an infection the better hun, so I'd personally make an appointment to see the clinic nurse to have it checked out. If you're unable to do that then maybe get your GP to take a look for you. 5 days is a long time for infection to take hold if that is what it is and I'm not for moment suggesting it is Nicola, but sudden redness forming at 3 months post-op that is on your breast tissue should really be checked on as soon as lovely. I have to agree with cookie, if you are worried it is an infection then it's best to sort it out with antibiotics sooner rather than later, so if you can't get in to the clinic sooner, you GP can also help.
Re: is it possible???
thanks ladies, managed to get appointment with GP, who prescribe anti-biotic's, she thinks its infected. seeing my consultant tomorrow. bit of a shock as everything has been healing great, no temp or any real pain, just a little tender but nothing major.

Glad you now have anti-bs hun. I'd still see your surgeon ASAP. They are the person looking after your care and although GPs are very good, they're not specialists in 'plastic surgery' as your surgeon is and if it is an infection this really should be brought to their attention so that they can monitor it, keep an eye on you and fully ensure you're taking the right anti-bs for the infection they feel you have.
