Don't think your allowed to fly until 9 weeks. It can take months for the swelling to go all down, this could be causing your pain too. Maybe take your stronger painkillers and ice to the top of your chest x

Re: Hi I'm still a newbie to this site as not been on
Welcome back Claire
You'll be fine to fly short haul any time after 2 weeks post-op sweetie, which you will be
At just 19 days post-op lovely, you may still experience some discomfort. Right now everything you're experiencing is VERY normal, ice packs should be able to help with this lovely, just placed over the tops of your boobs - not anywhere near your incisions hun. And I won't lie lovely, you could still have a lot of swelling, your boobs will still be high and you may well experience some nerve pain too. You may find if you do too much walking on holiday that your boobs will swell - this too is very normal and a little natural warning from your body to slow down!
If you're going and planning a sunbed holiday, you should be aware that you won't be able to use the pool for swimming at all. You will also still be in your sportsbra, so maybe some crop tops to cover the bra with bikini bottoms might be a good option for you hun. Your freshly stretched skin won't be able to be exposed to the sun because it will be very sensitive and will burn babe and your scars need to be completely covered.
You'll be fine other that, as long as you know that any stinging pain, swelling, aching, sunburn sensation even though you haven't exposed your boobs to the sun, itchiness, pins and needle sensation, stabbing pains are all normal at the stage you'll be when you go away lovely.
If you're away and have any worries at all and can get access to the Internet we will be here to reassure you if you need us hun.
Happy holidays, if its a rested holiday you're planning you should have a lovely time. Xx

Cookie! You are a star! Thanx so much, you've put my mind at ease I've been panicking, I stopped taking my strongest pain killers after the 3 day then realised I still needed them a couple of days later! So I think I still need to continue with them and will get some for my holiday, I now also know I definatly need more rest! I'm still wearing the bra I was supplied from the hospital, and bought a sports bra after being measured yesterday so I'm going to change into that now. And ill be back soon, thanx so much for your support! Xxx

Awww you're welcome hun. Just remember to take things easy and if you need us... We're just a few clicks away xx
Oh you may want to pack some piriton babe. If the nerves do cause itchiness its awful babe and the piriton does help. Not everyone gets it but its best to be prepared isn't it. Xx

I cannot wait for my holiday! I still have 7 weeks! The only thing I am wondering is if they will feel weird when I fly. Like anti-gravity boobs or something lol! Does anyone know if it feels weird?! x

They're a part of you hun. You'll be aware of your boobs as much as you'll be away of the head on your head.
Its fine babe. X

Might want to make sure you have help into the lockers. I flew recently and that (and the landing) were the only things that bothered me.
I also now have a 3 foot personal space 'ometer' around myself. I guess that is natural.
Have a great time in the sun xx

Re: Hi I'm still a newbie to this site as not been on
You may want to consider a good quality 'high impact' bra hun. Some people do feel movement of the implant early post-op but keeping the breast stable and resting generally does help to resolve this babe. Xx
Re: Hi I'm still a newbie to this site as not been on
Well I was wearing the bra supplied from the hospital but feel better now I've got a sports bra, but I felt it was digging in where my stitches are so have changed back to the bra from the hospital 2 nite but will change back into sports bra in morning! Can u recommend where is the best place to buy the best quality support bra please? Xx

Re: Hi I'm still a newbie to this site as not been on
The bras most common here hun are the Triumph Triaction Extreme or the Shock absorber. You should be able to buy those in most places, including debenhams or in sports shops.
Others you may like: the M&S zip fronted sportsbra, or M&S sell a pack of two high profile which get good reviews too for just £25 for two bras hun.
Everyone will have their personal faves. Mine are the Triumph and M&S Zipped front hun. Xx
