I'm upset tonight x :,(

Feel like I should be feeling better not worse, day7 today and had a really easy week didn't have any pains really or problems now I'm soooo stingy and sore and very tender feel like I won't be wanting to go bk to work on Wednesday x just had a little cry!!! Maybe I'm just feeling sorry for myself x this stingy feeling is probably the worst, (tops and sides of my boobs) and my sides are swollen I think I need a bigger bra as my sides are swollen x boo hoo!!! I have had an easy time of it otherwise x just swollen morning cleavage boobs and had a little stiffness, can wash my hair and do everything just as normal x nothing was that hard for me to do this past week x but today day 7 has been the worst :( hope I'm just having a bad day xxx

Aww sorry to hear your not feeling great Hun x have you tried frozen peas to help with the swelling and stinging? Not near your incisions though! Both are normal! Xx maybe your doin a little too much? X easy to do when you feel so well x

Everything sounds normal so all is OK babe but the nerve pains really can get you down so you're not at all alone lovely.

If you feel able it might be best to actually get fitted for a new bra so you know the size is right and going to help you through your recovery hun. Xxx

Thanks lisa and cookie x yeah I should have got the peas today, think that would feel amazing right now x but can't be asked going out now x all tucked in bed lol x I'm in a 34d atm have been all week, didn't think to get measured yet as I thought my size would keep changing x might do that tomorrow x but they still look so fake still as there swollen so not sure I want anyone measuring me yet haha x I might do, might feel 100% better tomorrow x (I hope) x

Glad to know the stinging is normal x and my nipples are so sore too, and my cleavage in the morning is that normal? I am sleeping upright, do tend to be a bit lower in the mornings but I am upright, they are high n cleavaged in the mornings Lol so many questions x sorry cookie x ha you are a great help x all you ladies on here are x

Yes I do think because I feel ok I haven't rested enough x so my last two days off Monday and Tuesday I'm going to be really lazy xxx

Nipples can become ultra sensitive after a BA hun, so those soft cotton make-up pads are what I used to just cover the nipple and give it a nice soft cushion instead of the abrasiveness of the bra material - others prefer breast feeding pads babe.

The swelling in the middle (on the sternum) is also normal too hun. It does settle down but can often take months, some others it can be gone within a week or two.

I wouldn't worry about the ladies fitting you either lovely. They've seen all sorts of boobies, including brand new augmented ones that look high and round.

If you're not happy to have a fitting then then take a few bras into the fitting room yourself and the band should not be able to get no more than two fingers underneath the band. The cups should feel nice and snug, but not tight and none of your boobs should be budging, nor should there be any gaping hun. If you follow that you should be fine. You need to be comfortable throughout your recovery to help you to make the best of it hun.

The ice packs really do make a difference too so don't forget the peas when you go shopping tomorrow! Xx

lottie, sorry to hear you've been in pain, i'm sure the advice that the post op girls have given you will do the trick.
but can i just say, that at 7 days your avi looks FAB!! so do cheer up :flowers: and hopefully you'll also feel more comfortable soon x

I am repeating what everyone else has said - definitely get a bra that fits as one that doesn't fit is likely contributing to the level of pain and the right fit will offer the support you need and reduce the discomfort hugely (my experience); rest and drink fluids to flush that GA out of your system.

At 10 days, I was advised to massage my cleavage a few times a day to encourage the swelling to subside. It was yellow and the imprint of my finger would stay if I pushed for a few seconds.. I literally pushed in little circles with some oil for 5 minutes morning and night. Ask your ps when you go for your follow-up.

Hi lovrly i had very hypersensitive nipples and the gel you get for nipples when breast feeding had a bit of relief for me, i was that sore i called my surgeon and asked him to take my implants out lol also i was on slow release tramadol for over 2 weeks but i promise u do wake up one day and all the pains gone xx

Ah thank you girls xxx il deffo ask about the massaging on my appointment this tuesday x woke up today and I'm right as rain lol x the stinging is still there a tad but I did use some ice in a soft cloth last night and that must be what it needed x yeah 100% wil get measured today as my bra is too tight x and the make up pads agains my nips have given them a little blanket so they don't feel so raw on my bra x haha, the things we go through lol x All worth it, To anyone That's reading x
