what do we reckon?
I am in no end of agony today which started last nigt when i got up off the toilet. I just had a massive blood rush to my right boob and it was like 300 "at my command unleash hell" and ooh it did! It feels like a really severe bruise and blunt pain but only on my right. I find myself pulling on the bottom of my sports bra to keep the band off the incision and this relieves it loads. So now, my conundrum: 1. What has caused the pain? 2. Is the band on my sports bra too small? 3. Could i get away with not wearing a sports bra at all for maybe an hour just to give the incisions a break? Thanks girls and sorry for the ramble x
Re: what do we reckon?
This is what I'm like it's my right boob that's playing up it's like sort of stinging, and then like I said I noticed the stain of a little bit of blood but I have been taking my sports bra off for a hour very night and just sitting still to try and relieve it. But my plasters/ bandages are really itchy and I have been putting frozen peas on the just for that hour iv had my sports bra off xx

Re: what do we reckon?
Itching is a good sign hun, happens when you are starting to heal as things start knitting back together. Do you find that hour without wearing your sports bra helps? Does the ice help? X
Re: what do we reckon?
The ice really does cool the itching down loads I'm just trying not to get the plasters wet. It's the best feeling ever, at first when I did it on day 2 I felt like they were gona just fall on the floor but now a hour without the bra makes me feel like I can breath again because mine does sometimes feel right round ye band xxx

Re: what do we reckon?
Oh i might try it then. Think at 11 i will take it off for an hour and see how i get on. I keep shoving socks up my bra to try and relieve the tension off my band x
Re: what do we reckon?
Oh it's horrible isn't it, have you tried getting a bigger bra? I found that on the 3rd day I went from a 34 c to a 34 d and now I'm back in the c again xx

Re: what do we reckon?
Tried going from 38DD to 40D to 40DD and back down to the 40D. Keep getting the same pains no matter which bra i try tho. Btw antihistamines really help with the itching hun, i just took clarityn and it has really settled x
Re: what do we reckon?
Have you tried using a panty liner or cotton pad to cushion your incisions Hun ? X

Re: what do we reckon?
I have been using folded up socks to cushion it but the pressure still gets through x
Re: what do we reckon?
You're at the height of your swelling right now lovely so this is the worst it get babe... Try as Lisa suggested using a panty liner or a sanitary towel as a cushion babe. The socks will probably be too thick to use as a cushion and the pressure will still cause the stinging.
If you've stopped taking the strong meds, do take them whilst you feel like this and add an alarm to your phone so you know you're taking them at the regular right time to keep up the strength of the pain meds.
Ice packs are fab, but don't use them near your incisions sweetheart, just lay them over the tops of your boobs to help relieve the swelling and take away some of the pressure you're feeling hun.
All, normal though and nothing to worry about hun. Xx

Re: what do we reckon?
Do we think i could maybe take the sports bra off for an hour then and put the ice packs over the top of my boobs then? Thank you for all your help ladies x
Re: what do we reckon?
Aw sorry Balamory & Jade , hope this eases off soon. Jade you can get small gel bags, I think they are called nexcare from the chemist that you can put in the in the freezer if you'd find them easier to use than bags of Peas babe, they come with a cover so they should keep you dry, I think they're for sprains really but if they do the trick they might be worth a try. xxx

You're very early in your recovery hun and your boobs are needing the support to help the implant adhere to the breast pocket hun. The support also takes the pressure off the new incisions too hun so its best you don't take off your bra. If the bra is hurting then its best to find the reason why babe and get that sorted rather than taking it off lovely. Xx
Re: what do we reckon?
I really dont know why tho the left is no bother but the right is agonising but when i took my bra off the pain went down considerably but i also noticed the right implant has dropped a bit. Would dropping cause incision pain? X
Re: what do we reckon?
The pain from the incisions is the nerves healing lovely. One side may be more painful than the other because you had two separate operations - one on the left breast and one on the right hun and its very possible one breast suffered a little more trauma in surgery and this is he reason you'll be experiencing more pain on that side hun. Xx
Re: what do we reckon?
Very true. It is just hard not to compare and i am constantly ducking and diving out of sports bras. The 40DD is comfiest by far but as someone else says it leaves seams. Oh well i bought bra extenders off Amazon today so once they arrive i will get back into my Triumphs. Does dropping hurt? X
Re: what do we reckon?
It's really hard to get comfy in anything during the early days Hun x are you taking any pain killers? It does get better x

Re: what do we reckon?
Dropping doesn't hurt whatsoever hun. It kinda happens overnight. You go to sleep with high boobs and wake and think - "How did that happen?!" Xx

Re: what do we reckon?
Good idea Huni x I will look forward to reading it! It's hard isnt it, the smallest of niggles sends us into a blind panic x it probably because we've waited so long for boobies that we kinda feel that they're gonna be taken away or something's going to go wrong etc xx maybe that's just me lol x

Yup! Honest hun, its like magic! Lol. Your boobs sort of wait till you're not looking and then weyheyyyyyyyy down they go! Haha.
I'm know I'm joking babe but it really is like that. One may drop sooner than the other, but that's normal too. You may have wonky looking boobs for a while until the higher one catches up.... All normal babe. But it not at all something you 'feel' it just kinda happens. Xx
