Re: First day
The girls on here always say try not to use your arms but do i bum shuffle to the end and then push off your bed with your legs. Glad that you are okay x
Re: First day
That sounds easy enough, but at the time it doesn't feel easy :/ how long before it's easier to get in and out if bed? Thank you :) I feel great :) other than the getting out of bed stuff xx

Re: First day
Congrats on the new boobs hun! You don't have ro sleep completyl upright just propped up with a few pillows 2pillows and a v pillow for example. It's all abou using your core tummy muscles and doing the bum shuffle, don't use your arms or chest . I used to find crossing my arms over my chest holding onto my boobs and doing the bum shuffle, and turning slighly onto your side then using you oblique muscles to sit up worked for me x

Re: First day
Yes you will certainly feel your stomach muscles working, it does get easier hun, usually a week is the turning point for most ladies
Again for opening doors, I used to either push open with my hip or foot, or for a pulling one keep your elbows glued or as close to your body as possible so you're using your arm and wrist rather than your chest muscles. !
Imagine your elbows glued to your body will help remeber not to use your chest and will feel much easier x

Re: First day
Oh Jodi!! Take it as easy as possible.
I did abs a lot from October til my op on 2nd April and it was still quite hard to get about. I went to the hairdressers on the afternoon of day 3 (but by taxi no driving!). Before that I took it really easy! Don't try to do too much.
A lot of the girls say day3/4 is the turning point!
Hope you're a bit better today! x

I was like that! But my scars are tiny! They do feel stingy for a while, remember nerves are trying to repair themselves, I'm 11 days post op and still get that :-)

Re: First day
Forget the hairdressers hun. Get your boyfriend to pick up some dry shampoo for you from the chemist. Its in a spray can and that should help get you through for the first week until you're over the worst and definitely don't put yourself behind the wheel of a car until you feel able lovely. Its actually illegal to drive unless you can safely and control an emergency stop. Can you imagine that seatbelt on your new boobs if you had to do an emergency stop right now!!!! Owwwwweeeeeeeeee!
Just take things easy hun. Listen to your body and rest when you need to and be sure to move around when you can having a little walk around the house at first building yourself up to be able to have a nice gentle walk in the fresh air when you feel ready lovely.

Re: First day
Hey jade, welcome to boobieville and I'm glad all went well with the op :-) the girls here have given u some good advice I'll just add that when u want to pull the door, as well as having ur elbow close to ur body try using both hands. That way the weight is spread evenly and therefore less strain on one arm/boobie. Hang in there, most of us felt big improvements on day 4 so not long at all. Try to postpone ur hairdresser hun, not worth going out for that on day 1. Happy healing xx

Re: First day
I'd add hun that most car insurance policies will be void for any driving within 48 hours of having had a GA!!!

Re: First day
Hope you follow this as its my magic pain free way of sitting up...
Interlock your fingers, bend your knee and put them over it (hug your knee) now pull your leg down and relax your shoulders. For me it uses my stomach muscle and not an ounce of strain on the chest.
Iv perfected it now and practically swing out of bed lol. Please rest tho... I am day 4 and have stayed in bed all morning with migraine and nausea, could just be a coincidence but I was out and about most of yest xx
