What can't we take before op?

I have a cold so am taking cold and flu but can't remember if i'm not supposed to take paracetamol or ibuprofen before the op? And if so no for how long before? EG no taking ibuprofen for 3 weeks before op.

Not sure, but they asked me if I had taken anything like that within 24-48 hours before my GA. I think maybe you should call them and check? Not worth the risk of finding out on the day and it being put back.

All surgeons are different but I'm sure the general rule is no meds for 2 weeks before! Except for paracetamol. So I would just stick to good old honey and lemon, wrap up warm and rest Hun x and lots of natural vitamin C, but NO vitamin c tablets!! X
