Oh men's cleaning is terrible lol x I sympathise with you. My nan comes and does some housework for me. I'm not sure why you have been told no walking, hmm very strange. Have you called your ps to find out why? X

Is washing up okay? Im 2 and a half weeks since my BA and iv been washing up and found it fine, iv been lifting my bag and the odd light shopping bag is this ok? xx

Just use your common sense girls... Washing up is a 'light chore' and isn't going to hurt. Caring your handbag or light shopping bags isn't going to hurt, but when you 'think' about it. Ironing is quite a chore. The iron isn't exactly light, you're continuously picking it up and putting it down and pushing it back and forth, its quite a work out for the upper body even though you may not realise it until you think it through.
Walking is DEFINITELY proven to help your recovery, I'm presuming there has been a misunderstanding between Redtulip and her surgeon in way
And most important of all - listen to your body. Even if you're doing the latest of chores and you feel an ache or a twinge - stop! Its your body's natural warning sign and do rest when you need to. I know its hard for those with small children but it really is so important to get help to get you through the recovery in order for you not to have set backs or worse...complications that could require revision. Xx

Thanks cookie :) im a beautician and do a fair bit of massage would you stay away from this for the time being? I'm trying to see my surgeron earlier as want to know if i can get back in to it as don't want to rush but am losing money as work for myself :/ xxx
