Subfascial BA
Hello ladies,
During my appointmentwith the nurse today, I learned that apart from unders, overs and partials, there is also a subfascial placement-looks like that's what I'm having. Does anyone know about this, had anyone had it?
Thanx
A xx

Re: Subfascial BA
I've personally never heard of anybody in the UK having this placement.
Its kind of inbetweeny lol. A thin layer of the muscle is dissected and this is used as a light cover over the implant, unlike overs which just have breast tissue for coverage and partials which have the muscle and if any breast tissue, that too for coverage.
You can see the difference in the diagram below babe.

Thanks Cookie, I was shown pics by the nurse and she explained it, but I've never heard of anyone having it. After I posted this, I googled a bit and it seems that it's got all the benefits of unders without being so invasive. I'll ask the surgeon on the day if that's what I'm having as he only said over... Xx:)

Re: Subfascial BA
This thread is almost a year old now.
Subfacial placements aren't at all unheard of anymore and we should all just realise that our BAs are tailored to our own body's which is different to anybody else's.
So its just another placement available for surgeons to use girls... No big deal and becoming increasingly popular. Xx

Thanks Tink!! I haven't been on here in months!! As some of you may know I had tuberous and post breast feeding breasts so the best option for me was to have overs or similar. I guess the PS preferred the placement he have me for my body and I have to say it's the best result I could've expected with just a BA. Almost 10 months post op now and I think they look quite natural and set very squishy. Not perfect, (but that's to do with what I started with) but overall very happy with the result! Xx

Re: Subfascial BA
Hi loui1981, I had been seeing changes for months, mostly that they've become super soft and squidgy and I've noticed that they've dropped. At 5 weeks PO I'd say it's too early to worry about the pace each one progresses. They're 2 different operations and each one will take it's time to get to where it needs to be. I know many girls, including me, have noticed that each boob behaves differently and we all have a favourite and a naughty one lol. So just enjoy this time, take lots of pics so you can notice the changes and don't worry too much at this stage :-) xx
