Surgicare, Mr Giannitripani
Wow, Just finished my appointmet at Surgicare and Mr Andrea Giannitripani,
was great! He was so friendly, polite, and took time to explain everyithing and
asked what is it I wanted. The consultation was the best and by far the longest
of the 3 I had and I felt I had much more say. He measured me, thoroughly
explained why he suggested the size he did and even had a joke.
However, I'm not so sure about Surgicare aftercare policy, they offer a
shorter period than the rest and if I was to be a day case it wouldn't be under
GA but sedation and Local Anaestethic.
Has anyone gone through Surgicare or had their BA with Mr Giannitripani? Has
anyone been told that they need a nipple lift by one surgeon and that they
don't by another? what option did you go with? Are you happy with it?

Glad you felt your consultation went well Angie
I haven't looked at Surgicares aftercare, but would suggest with any aftercare that you ensure you take time to read it over, including the small print lovely.
In regards to the twilight surgery for a daycase. We have had ladies here before who have had this sedation rather than a GA and have got along with it just fine. So if you're happy to be sedated, it shouldn't be a problem for you hun.
You said you had '3' consultations... What was the majority opinion regarding you needing a nipple lift? You mention mention only two of the surgeons, one saying you need a lift, the other you don't. What did the 3rd suggest? You could probably use that as the majority opinion, or of you weren't confident at all with that consultation then I'd advise you seek the opinion of yet another reputable surgeon hun and go with the majority opinion regarding a lift before making any decisions. Xx

Re: Surgicare, Mr Giannitripani
Thanks for the post cookie ;)
In the past 2 weeks, I've seen 4 surgeons and a medically trained Pcc (Harley medical). -After my post I'd seen one more surgeon- so 2surgeons said a need a NL; 2 I don't and the Pcc said I don't. I also saw a surgeon in the NHS last year when I tried going down that route and he said that a simple BA may fix the problem. Also Mr giannitrapani somehow measured a significantly greater difference between the nipples than the other doctors, I also got a friend to measure me and she could not see the difference that Mr G saw. The other surgeon that suggested a NL didn't even measure. Having seen before and after pics I really believe that just a BA will give me the result I want.
About the sedation, that really freaks me out, I was sedated once and I felt pain and was screaming

Re: Surgicare, Mr Giannitripani
I'd totally disregard the PCCs opinion hun. She may have been medically trained but she is NOT trained to be a plastic surgeon and therefore definitely should not be advising you on these matters.
So, disregarding the PCC! Out of the 5 surgeons seen, 3 said you didn't need a lift, 2 said you didn't and you personally don't feel you need one either... I'd go with the majority and what you felt most comfortable with hun... Which is seemingly just having the BA isn't it.
If you've already tried sedation and had a bad experience previously, then it makes sense not to make this an option for yourself hun. Xx

Thanks Cookie, I think I'll go for the BA only, I'm only waiting for the clinic to get back to me about some aftercare questions and if all good, I might book :-)

Its good you're questioning aftercare hun. Make sure all your boxes are ticked before booking babe and you feel 100% confident with surgeon. Surgery plan and the clinic. If you have any niggles at all lovely, then keep looking. Its not unusual for some women to see many surgeons before finding 'the one' x
Re: Surgicare, Mr Giannitripani
Thanks hun, I've been reading into the aftercare a lot! Pretty much the same everywhere, just looking into few bits now and although I got it verbally clarified, I want it in writing.

Go you! that's exactly what you need lovely, so you're very worse in requesting all information required before booking in writing for yourself. xx

Cookie, can I ask you something? I see you've had 3 procedures, did you have to pay anything towards the cost or was it included in your aftercare? xx

Re: Surgicare, Mr Giannitripani
You can ask me nothing babe
I had a rupture after my first BA. My aftercare stated that ruptures were covered for. Period of time. I was within my aftercare when the rupture occurred.
Due to the rupture my body reacted and my breast was swollen to twice the size of the other. When I went to see the surgeon about my revision he stated that I'd need considerably larger implants to fill out the skin that had stretched due tot he rupture. My boobs were already big and to have had the larger implants the surgeon himself said I'd look ridiculous. My choice within the ranges of aftercare was to either have the larger implants to even out the asymmetry caused by the rupture, or to just replace the ruptured side with a new implant of the same size, I was informed that after the swelling reduced from my reaction to the silicone, after it all the silicone had been removed I would have severe asymmetry and it would be like throwing a ball in a sock. All this was stated by the surgeon.
I asked what would be required to give me back the boobs I first requested no was told I'd need an uplift, but.... 'Reactions' to ruptures weren't covered by my aftercare, ONLY the ruptured implant, so I'd have free revision to make me look like a freak basically.
I had an awful time, you can read about it if you'd like to in the diaries section - cookies journey. The best the clinic would do for me after requesting over 6K to do the surgery needed was to come down to £4,500 to repair the damage. This was the second offer.
In short - when covered for a rupture, in my case I'd have free revision to replace the ruptured implant, or give me two free larger implants.
Reactions to ruptures were not covered.
The next surgery was for scar revision. i had this done for free, but i have read in some after care policies that this is not covered. Xx
