11th april op HELP
HI,
Im new to this site but basically i have booked my date for surgery which is the 11th of April 2013 i cant wait i have been to see mr Ali from transform and am getting it done in manchester with him. Basically i am 5 foot 2 weight 7 stone 3 wear a sizze 4/6 and have a 27 inch chest but he is saying that the maximum i can go is a 230cc over which tbh i dont really want to pay almost 4000 for i am currently a 30 a aswell i am going back to see him but i have been reading some stats off other people similar to me and one girl is the exact same and she has gone with 315cc. can someone help me because at the moment i am feeling really dissapointed with his choice, does anyone know anything about sizes because tbh it just confused me so much any help would be great
Thanks :)

Re: 11th april op HELP
wow hun you're absolutely tiny, 230 is a good size implant considering your stats and you're likely to get really good results with them.
Basically, IGNORE the stats from other people. Everybody is different!! your surgeon has recommended whats best for YOU based on the examination he gave 'you' for 'your' breasts. Your surgeon is the expert and knows whats best 'for you' to give the best results. If you're really not happy then try asking transform to book you in for a consultation with another surgeon for a 2nd opinion? x

Re: 11th april op HELP
I'd see another surgeon babe and see what the second one says.
Because your so tiny it would be such a squeeze to get big implants in. I haven't had surgery yet but my surgeon is only allowing me to go to 310 cc otherwise he thinks I will look stupid basically lol and tbh I think I want to go smaller as I've realised they seem to come out bigger than expected keep that in mind lovely!
Did you get to try the implant on? How did you feel if you did? Xxxx

Re: 11th april op HELP
I was worried about my implants being too small, as I had an issue with breasts that the surgeon said he wouldn't go higher than what I got in the end!
However I've gone up 2 cup sizes, and that's just with 150 and 180ccs!
Like everyone says, everyone is different, and its really worth it to go for another consultation so you can be sure that what you're being told is sensible for YOU.
Good luck!

The smaller you are, the bigger an implant will take you/look on you. Your surgeon has seen your body and knows what will fit and will look good. Going too big puts you at risk of a lot of complications, especially being so tiny. x

Re: 11th april op HELP
Your surgeon would have chosen implants suitable for YOUR body and your are tiny.
Don't worry about other peoples stats so many other factors are taken into consideration bwd, ribcage etc.
Go back for another consulation but please listen to him as he knows what is best for you as princess says going and pushing for a bigger implant than suggested can lead to complications let alone even being able to get it in on the day! X

Welcome to Breast Buddies Jade
You've already been given great advise lovely... Its not worth comparing yourself to others at at all hun. You may have the same stats as another woman but your anatomy will be completely different. This is why, even if you are have the same stats and the exact same sized implant, chances are the result would be very different.
Your surgeon has so much to take into consideration beside your height and weight Jade, you for example could have more/less breast tissue than another woman with the same stats as yourself, your breasts may lay differently to start, you may have a wider/narrower cleavage, you may have more/less overall body fat, your rib cage could be wider/narrower or your rib cage could bow out more/less...its all these factors and more that determine your final result hun and if 230CCs is the largest implant your surgeon is prepared to use he's telling you this for a reason hun - the bigger the implant...the bigger the risks! So in pushing for larger implants you could infact be putting yourself at a far greater risk of complication after surgery and something none of us want sweetheart.
You're wise to have booked a second consultation if you have any concerns at all so you can again go over your surgery plan before surgery Jade. Do ensure that you are 100% happy before you go ahead with anything.
Hope the second consultation goes well lovely. Xx

Re: 11th april op HELP
Hi Jade,
I think you'll feel far more comfortable once you've tried the size and seen him again. I've seen pictures of smaller ladies on here with 200-300 implants and they look fantastic.
The surgeons have no motive for not letting you have a bigger size, they want you to be happy with the result as much as you do so he is probably being responsible. Maybe ask him about his thought process so that you can understand better? Sometimes they assume that you know what's going on but you need to be able to trust him.
Good luck with it all and I hope the time flies by! xxx

Re: 11th april op HELP
Hi Hun, it's so confusing when you see lotsof other girls with bigger implants!
As the others said, listen to your surgeon, if he's saying that size, he's got good reason for it.
I'm not as smal as you butim a 6/8 with a 27" chest. I went with a surgeon who is probably more conservative with the implants he offers but I felt reassured that he wouldn't put an implant in that was too big for my frame. Anyway, I've got 300cc implants and I'm currently in a 32F sports bra! They certainly don't "look" that size as you can see from my avi! I'm more than happy with my results!
Go for another consult if you're not convinced

Wow, that's well good the size of the implant he said that people y size can't have them but it seems everyone I'm talking to around my size is getting a lot more than me. He also said that sumat to do with the measurement under my boob is stopping the size of the implant or sumat but surely if you have a 27 inch chest n so do I then surely we have the same measurements ish. Re: 11th april op HELP
I think (this might sounds really dumb..) but if you imagine wrapping a 27 inch piece of string around a squishy ball.. you could make it flat and wide.. or round.. or oval shaped but it would still be 27 inchs... I guess that's what our bodies are like... (okay, that does sounds dumb!)
But what I mean is that one girl might be narrow backed but with a pronounced ribcage and one might be broad backed with a flat rib cage. So although they are both 27 inchs... the size of the implant that will A, fit and B, look good, will differ dramtically. Then of course you need to factor in height in as well... and even people of the same height will have different proportions (long body/ short legs etc)
You will find a surgeon that is willing to give you a very "Big look" if that is what you really want and you look hard enpough, but it might be better to go smaller and in proportion I would say. Although it's your body of course and it is you who needs to be happy.
I think you should voice your concerns with your surgeon and see if he can explain his thinking to you x x
