Compression bra
Has anyone had to wear a compression bra post BA?
I was given two of these bras post op - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
and while it is super comfy I am having a mare trying to hide it under clothes. Hopefully I can stop wearing the compression belt after my next check up on Wednesday but the straps at the top are so high up I still won't be able to wear much to cover it. It's wonderful for sleeping it and around the house, but in the next week or so I'm hoping to be going out a little more and I've feel a bit restricted!
So my question is how long did you have to wear yours compression bra for, or is a sports bra the same thing? I'm thinking I might be able to swap to a Malcom bra instead, so to anyone that had a Malcom bra, 1. are they a little more 'wearable' 2. Are they the same sort of thing as my bra?

Re: Compression bra
What you're wearing is basically a supportbra with a breast band to help encourage your implants to drop lovely.
Unless you've been advised by your surgeon to be able to lose the breast strap and change bras then I'd very much advise you make the best of what you're requested to wear to get the best from your recovery hun.
'Generally' women are asked to wear the breast band for a week or two.. Some more.
You've been specially advised to wear this type of bra to encourage your implants to drop hun. If you change bras you could possibly compromise your healing and put back your healing and further more void your aftercare.
I know its hard hiding the bra, this seems to be one of the biggest bug bares women have after surgery but there are ways to hide it.
A nice pashmina or pretty scarf draped over your front is a good way of hiding it.
Its a small price to pay to get your dream boobs hun. Just keep on mind how long you've waited for your boobs, how much you've paid for them, the surgery you've been through to get them.... Now this short 6 - 12 week period is YOUR responsibility to follow your surgeons post-op instructions to enable you to get the best result possible hun. It'll soon fly over. Xx

Re: Compression bra
Thanks Cookie, I've been trying with the scarves but I'm so concious it might slip off!
My surgeon said I would be able to take the strap off at a week, so I'm just going to wait until my wound check on Wednesday to double check. He also mentioned wearing this bra OR a sports bra for 6 weeks - but I was too dozy and drugged up to ask more questions!
Just wondering if the Malcom bras were the same really. They look like they have slightly thinner straps! Guess I'll just have to ask on Wednesday!

Re: Compression bra
If you're looking for a sportsbra that offers full support and yet is cut low enough to be able to wear with anything then I'd strongly recommend the Triumph Triaction extreme babe. Its an amazing bra, with cushioned straps and band and gives your boobs a nice shape too.. So may be one you'd like to think about.
Off topic now but - nice avi Suzi, you look fab hun! X

Re: Compression bra
Awww thanks guys first boobie pic!
Cookie I'll have a look out for the Triumph Triaction when I've got the clear for sports bras
And Lauren not been measured for a few years, but according to the online measurer I was a 30B before. My sports bra is a 32D/E currently. I'll let you know when I put my pictrail up!
