I had my breast scan today
Hello ladies :)
Went to the hospital to have the scan to see what was happening with my left boob, i have got cc. No rupture...
So now, i have to go back to the hospital next week to pick up my results and scan pics, i can then take it all with me to transform to show my surgeon. Then i will have to have a re-op on that boob....
So i now have a couple of questions...
Has anyone on here had CC??
Anyone been with Transform and had the cc re-op? Did you have to pay anything?
On their website it states that im covered for a repture for 5 years, nothing about cc etc.
If you have cc do they take out the implant, sort inside out and put in another implant straight away, or do you have to have the implant removed for a couple of months, then replaced? Sorry for all the questions girls. This is all making me
Any help or info for me
xx

Re: I had my breast scan today
I'm relieved for you now that you finally have an answer to why you were in pain. I'm afraid that I have no direct experience with either cc or Transform so unfortunately I can't really offer any help there.
I would be interested to find out what Transforms policy was on cc... as how I understood things from my surgeon (through MYA) is that no one can have prior knowledge of whether anyone is liable to suffer from cc and therefore I understood that they wouldn't cover it. I do think a lot of companies are deliberately ambiguous about what is and isn't covered in their after-care.
I hope they do fix it for you free of charge and that you're soon pain free.
Keep us posted. All the best, Angel x

Re: I had my breast scan today
Hiya, I have the Transform booklet in front of me, it says;
Capsular contraction,- This condition can occur at any time after the operation and may require further surgery. For up to 3 years from the date of your original operation Transform will provide surgery, hospital accommodation and replacement implant/s (if clinically indicated) of the same size free of charge.
Subsequent capsular contraction following remedial surgery remains a possibility and treatment will incur charges and your surgeon may ultimately advise that breast implants are not appropriate for you.
Hope the above helps, you should get it all done for free.
Good luck x

Re: I had my breast scan today
Sorry you are going to have to a re-op but at least it isnt a rupture that would be scary I think. Looks like its covered according to LJK paperwork and you wont have to pay. CC can happen anytime I believe so I think thats why we all have cover from 3-5 years cos thats when it more likely to occour.
Good luck - we will all support you through it.

Re: I had my breast scan today
I asked at my consult with Transform and the PC was a bit evasive about it, so I asked again until she answered the question and she basically said, after I mentioned how they grade cc that there until it get to grade 3 they will not operate (I think its 3, not 100% sure as I didn't go with them, but it was along those lines) and they will only do one operation, again I think. Since I didn't choose them I kinda let the info leak out of my brain.
I know that's not going to put your mind at rest, but its better to be prepared for a fight, than to expect them to do it and be shocked when they say no and not know what to say.
Good luck hun xx

Re: I had my breast scan today
Aww hunnies, you are all sooooo lovely, where would i be without you!
A nervous wreck thats what!!
LJK you are a star, i thought i was going to have to empty my paperwork draw to find my booklet... Really wasnt looking forward to that. Havent opened it for about 4 months so scary to think what could be lurking :)
Im so glad i finally have answers, and yes i am expecting them to put up a fight with something along the line, but, im a very stubborn girl and they will not win ;)
I will keep you all updated, i got a phone call and ive got to pick up the paperwork etc next wednesday, so i will then be heading for Transform. Hopefully i will have even, beautiful SOFT boobies after all this!
For all you pre-op girls, please dont let this put you off. I would much rather have what i have now and keep the CC then have what i had pre op. I love my F boobs and dont have a single regret :)
Again, thankyou to everyone for well wishes!
Anyway, god this is a long post, sorry to bore, but laura hunny, you are now a moderator!! Good on you girl, i hope your doing well and on the way to gorgeous boobies too!!
And Natalia, loving the tan!!
Lots of kisses C xx

Re: I had my breast scan today
I asked Transform if there were any complications would they charge me to put it right, they said they would re-op up to 3 times then there would be a charge within 3 years, or it might be 5 years. Can't remember. Sorry your having to go through this. I hope it will all be sorted for you as quickly as possible.

Re: I had my breast scan today
Ah hope you get it sorted hun, glad you know what it is now. Im sure they will sort it out for you in no time, usually with cc they can take out the scar tissue around the implant and put implants back in straight away x
Re: I had my breast scan today
Fingers crossed!! Having one boob a B and one an F will be very noticable :(
