Advice pls - Cookie & Co
Hi ladies.
I am day 11 today, recovery has been going good. Able to do more and more day by day.
However, since yesterday i have noticed a sore pain across the boobs like a gym work out pain...a dull ache with achy muscles etc. Boobs look fine, no high temp etc...
Is this normal?
Hubby said if I'm worried he will drive me to London to get it checked out, i told him i have a check up on next wed and will see what surgeon says.
Thought i'd ask you ladies for advice x

By doing more each day you will start ro notice the effects of that on your boobs and chest muscles.
Pain at 11 days postnop is totally normal I still get the odd ache, sharp stab , electric shock 4 months post op.
Just take it a bit easier as you may be doing a it too much. But it's totally normal to feel that achiness . Your body's way of saying slow down a bit too! But yes as you start to resume normal routine like drive, wash hair etc internally you're still Healing so will ache by evening x

Littlewellies, congrats on your
Hope your recovery is going good.
The pain your feeling is because you have just had surgery hun.
But this pain is a tightening kind of muscular pain.

I agree with mrsball babe, you're obviously doing a little too much and its your body's way of telling you to slow down!
Definitely don't put heat on your boobs! Ice packs are what will help hun. Place ice packs over the tops of your boobs. They're a great help for your recovery lovely, but nothing at all to be concerned about. Xx

No hot water bottle. Hun. Ice packs yes, they will take swelling down.
No hot water bottles though.
Back to normal it differs 4 to 6 weeks I felt pretty much back to normal, cleaning, driving etc without getting that achiness.
Don't get me wrong I still get the occasional odd day even now and then where it can feel a bit of achiness and twinges but apart from that all normal x

Thanks ladies
Think I should take it a bit easier.. And no hot water bottle. I will just have a nice hot shower in a bit.
Can't wait to do things without feeling my armpits and the chest muscle... X
