Re: soooo uncomfortable
I second that, it is killing me and my bum is hurting haha! And i allways wake up because I am in pain and have slipped down :/ I slept (tried!) on the sofa a few nights too. I find popping the valium helps and my partner allways wakes me up to re-prop me lol. I got so emotional the other night because I just wanted to snuggle up on my side and I couldn't... boohoo! It says in my paperwork 6 weeks fml

Re: soooo uncomfortable
Its generally around 2 weeks girls. It difficult I know
There are things you can try though to help make yourself a little more comfortable if you aren't doing them already:
Remember that its unnecessary to be 'sat up' as long as your head and shoulders are raised higher than your chest thats as high as you have to go.
Pop a pillow under your knees
A pillow under each arm helps support the arms but also stopping that temptation to roll and wake yourself up with any discomfort.
Use a rolled hand towel sat in the small of your back to support it, and maybe add a hot water bottle there too.
Its just the little things that help sleeping on your back so much easier. Xxx

Re: soooo uncomfortable
I'm doing the hot water bottle! The back and neck pain argh! Also, Crabtree and Evelyn do these amazing packs which you can freeze or microwave- I had 2 perfect boobie ones I froze and a neck one! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: soooo uncomfortable
I'm hating sleeping on my back, I'm usually always on my side. I've got the V pillow and everything but just can't get comfy. I'll definitely try those other tips tonight though

Re: soooo uncomfortable
I feel your pain! I found trying to get to sleep worse than my boobie pain! It does get easier though, eventually! All of the tips the girls mentioned really helped me, and I also found that sitting on a memory foam pillow really helped with the numb bum pain! It was ahuge releif as it was bum pain that woke me most nights!
It gets much better before you know hun, I'm almost sleeping through the night now and have very little pain during the day, it'll all be worth it! xx

Re: soooo uncomfortable
Aaaaaw hunni's I know exactly how your feeling I just about managed it for two weeks and it was the worst part of the whole thing :( As cookie mentioned having a hot water bottle under the bottom of my back really helped as that was were I got pain & stopped me having backache when I got up! Just try and get as comfy with as many pillows as poss (I made myself a nest on my sofa hahah)

Re: soooo uncomfortable
Seriously pillow under the knees and arms like cookie said, works a treat. Last night was the first night I slipped down/rolled over. Think that was due to the crazy dreams!
I have my pillows on a slope all the way downtown my lower back then leave a bum sized space then another pillow for under the knees. Then I have my v pillow on the top.
This really helps to support my lower back and stopped the numb bum situation a bit. I am really wedged in. And quite comfy :-)

Re: soooo uncomfortable
Do you use pillows to support your back in the anytime? I found a pillow in my lower back during the day really helps. X
