Company or private?
Evening everyone!
I am stuck with making the choice to go through my surgeon privately or through a company. I have had a consultation and was really pleased with how it went but I'm a bit worried if I go through him directly what sort of warranty I would have. I've asked him and been told the implants come with a ten year Warrenty and that I can go and see him at any time after the surgery his words were "once I operate on a patient I have a life time commitment to them" I have in writing that he has said I can see him after at no extra charge but in the back of my mind I think would it be better to go through a company where the aftercare is more "straight forward" sorry for rambling on I hope this makes sence! Xx

Re: Company or private?
You're right babe. After care with a company is always better than private, although your surgeon would always be happy to see you, he didnt say that should you require a. Re-op it'll always be for free did he. Generally going private you get about a year. With a company you'll get much more, so if you can use the same surgeon through a company, then the company will always be better hun. Xx
Re: Company or private?
Who is the surgeon? With my surgeon I would only have got 30 days aftercare, but with my breast its 5 years, but bear in mind if you get pregnant its void anyway, so if you're planning kids anytime soon it doesn't matter. Going with my breast cost me an extra 500 pound and they've been nothing but hassle, if I did it again I'd go direct they're useless x

Thank you! I think il look into going through a company then xx
The surgeon is called mr Georgeu I was having doubts as much as I liked him he is not baaps registered either so I'm thinking of just starting my search again until I find the right one! As for not void if getting pregnant I've got my two boys now so not got that worry lol xx

You'd be better off getting the aftercare policy in writing from your surgeon and the company, then you can compare the two. X

You're obviously not 100% happy with him lovely, so you're right to continue your search and a BAAPS member really is the best to look for. Xx

Re: Company or private?
Personally I would rather go through a company with longer aftercare but some surgeons may offer good aftercare packages, would just be careful with how they word their package with the '10 year implant guarentee' etc xx

Re: Company or private?
Personally I think private is better from my experience so far. Mine is private, they rely on there reputation. Asking as your comfortable with them and they gave the BAPAS thing. I believe Hmg changed their company name so they didn't have to pay out for pips and to avoid administration. Xx
