Newbie, Day 4 and horrendous :(
Hey girlies,
I'm Sophie!
I'm 21yo live in Sydney and had 400cc unders on wednesday (it's saturday now).
I am on panadol, Endone, cephalexin, ciproxin, and diazepam.
This concoction is making me soo nauseous, I haven't really found a way of getting around that yet.
I am not sleeping, but nodding off here and there, and getting soo emotional. The painkillers have given me bad constipation and I am so blocked up and generally yucky feeling.
As for pain, I woke up last night in the most intense pain EVER!! Feels soo tight around my chest and hard to breathe, and when I do my sutures hurt :'(
Can't move myself still- my muscles spazm and hurt if i try to even keep myself upright.
Oh yea, on top of that, i'm itchy,
I am trying to keep upright as my surgeon instructed but it makes me achey and uncomfortable and my bum hurts haha!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I am just having the worst time ever :(
Thanks guys xx

The pain killers will constipate you and make you itch, you are taking a lot if different painkillers. We're they prescribed by the hospital? For the sickness you can take domperidone, it's over the counter brand name motillium, also helps with bloat etc, its a very safe drug, but obviously check with your pharmacist because you are taking a lot if different pain killers.
Unders can be very painful, try to keep mobile it really died help with healing. If you're swollen ice packs will help but don't put them near your sutures. Keep propped up to help with the swelling too. Put a pillow under your knees it takes some of the pressure away!
It'll get better, I promise xx

Hello and welcome to Breast Buddies ladypom
If you feel you can knock off the heavy painkillers (diazepam and endone) and just stick to the panadol. Maybe if need be just having the endone at night if need be and possibly first thing in the morning, but only if you feel its necessary youll start to feel so much better.
If after a couple of days doing this you're still nauseous it may well be that you're not agreeing with the anti-biotics and you should maybe call your clinic for advice.
The constipation can be horrible, so the sooner you get yourself up and walking around the better for you hun. Drinking lots and a good diet will help also and of need be maybe a laxative to help you 'go' too if you feel you need it. But being mobile generally gets your bowels moving too lol.
Sleeping: you don't have to sleep sat up if that's what you're doing ladypom. Just being propped up enough so your head and shoulders are raised higher than your chest is all that's needed. A pillow under your knees also helps to take pressure away from your back too along with a rolled towel placed in the small of your back as well.
Ice packs will help so much with the discomfort! If you don't have any dont worry! A bag of frozen peas, corn or rice or anything small frozen will do and placed over the tops of your boobs gives you so much relief! They really are a god send! Don't put them near your incisions though, only over the tops of your boobs.
Your incisions as they heal can get itchy and uncomfortable. An anti-histamine will help relieve the itchiness hun and also a panty liner or sanitary towel, sticky side against your bra will help cushion your incisions (that's if they're in the breast crease) from your bra band. If you have nipple incisions then breast feeding pads or round cotton soft make-up pads will cushion your nipples and make them feel better.
I think that's about covered it lol. But if there's anything I may have missed you might find it in this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ladypom. X

We're currently in the beta version of mobile browsing just now ladypom and hoping for a mobile app very soon.
In the meantime you can create a make-shift one if you'd like to to give you easier access to the forum.
If you're viewing on your mobile and seeing the grey screen scroll down till you see the link 'classic version' and click on that till you see our pink page. Now if you're using an iPhone or pad just click the square with the arrow coming from it then add to home screen. If you're using any other smart phone I'm sure they too would have a feature to allow you to add the forum to your home screen.
If you've clicked in your profile that you want to receive all notifications you'll instantly get an alert to your phone when you get a reply or PM. Xx
