Huge, massive congrats to you girly! The journey to recovery has begun! By the summer you can be wearing all the things you've dreamed of, but not been able etc. Bikini shopping! So happy to hear you're pleased. Up, up and away now. Yay! Rest and keep us posted. What size did you go for in the end?

Re: From Katie's room :)
Yet bikinis. I chose 330cc extra high profile one is quite a bit swollen
More than the other and its making me nervous. Im in quite bit of pain on paracetamol and codeine but dont quite cut it. I asked about diclofenac as Alex was sent home on it and they said they dont usually do that coz of risk of bleeding after surgery. Need more pain relief but nothing than makes me whoozy had enough of that from yest lol xx

Don't be nervous Kate, its normal lovely. If there was reason for concern the nurses would have seen that and acted on it sweetheart, but its very possible the more swollen side simple had a little more trauma during surgery than than the other and therefore has a little more swelling. They do catch up with one another as you go through your recovery. But it doesn't happen overnight Kate, so be prepared for it to take som time lovely.

Many clinics do advise against using anti-inflamatories hun because they act as blood thinners and can increase the risk of a bleed, so always listen to your own surgeon babe.

They may be able to give you some morphine whilst you're in hospital hun, but you won't be able to have that on discharge. If you keep up the pain meds provided for you it should help to control the discomfort hun. If codeine is making you feel sick at all, do request that the surgeon give you something else before you get discharged. Xx
Re: From Katie's room :)
Congrats Hun!! They should be able to give you tramadol it's not a NSAID like diclofenic so less chance of bleeding. It is an opiate though so you go all wooowoooo on it haha.
Glad everything went smoothly, relax now and heal xxx

I was given tramadol & diclofenic along with paracetamol but I've got co-dydramol at home from my back injury so been taking those instead of paracetamol every now & again but they do
Knock you out & make me feel slightly sick, worth it though for a goods night sleep x x
