First day back at work
So i had a very busy 7hours of hairdressing today, loved being back at work but I was also so nervous I couldn't do much but I was fine thankgod don't feel like I over did it and my chest muscles and arms are fine, I've just now for the most achy legs, it's unbearable any ideas? My oh has just massaged me and it just hurts, they're so restless, anyone else has this? I've been hairdressing for 8years and I've never had this.
Do you think it's nothing to do with ba and I should man up and stop whining as itl go away or should I be concerned? Xx

Awwww I don't think its to do with your BA lovely, I just think its having to get used to being on your feet all day again after a good rest. You'll be fine once you get yourself back into it. Xx

Re: First day back at work
LOL I did some hairdressing for a while years ago and hated the long hours, being on my feet all day, quick bites of a sandwich in between clients and having to crush womens dreams of wanting hair like Lady Diana it was back then when they had hair like snapped string from over bleaching that would literally come away in your hands hahahaha
Ohhhhh I was never right for that job hahaha and since doing it I always have the upmost respect for all hairdressers knowing the hard work you all do. Xxx

Re: First day back at work
How long did you take off work after your op CharFaye? I'm a hairdresser too, and worried about over doing it too soon and going back to work and a full column of clients. X

Re: First day back at work
Aww thanks cookie! Some people are so ignorant toward us try don't understand how hard we work!
I had two weeks off, I had overs but if us has unders I would have needed another week off! Try and book your clients late morning have a lunch break and try not to finish to late, I'm really stiff this morning but my first client isn't untill 12 so I'll be ok by then and I'll have a late lunch and strong coffee after her, I was worried about blowdrying but that's the easiest and foiling! Xx

I know, long hours and lunch beaks if you lucky, lol. I keep thinking.....if only I had a job where I could sit down.... It would make it so much easier! I will bear that in mind, esp as I've been advised to have mine under. Coffee is on tap when being a hairdresser right? That's just to deal with clients.... X

I'm sure youll be fine my arms and chest muscles don't feel any different but like I say I had overs, are you able to tell clients your having them done, the few I've told have been great about it, had their colour done and gone out with it wet! Xx
