Why did you have/want a BA?
So I know it's a personal question but I think it's an interesting one.
I had wanted a BA for about 5 years.. Since I had my DD and breast fed then lost a lot of weight my boobs became incredibly saggy and empty, I was so depressed and wouldn't take my bra off in those intimate moments! The older I got the worse they did.. I was 27 when I had my first BA 3.5 years ago but had the bust of a 85 year old, covered in stretch marks. I always had a large pert bust as a teenager (34DD at 14!) and had a rough time through my 20s. I thought about it for years and years, parents said dont be stupid but it got tithe point I was so fed up that they supported me in my decision.

It's such a huge deal isn't it.. I really think a lot of people don't understand how a women's confidence can be affected because of her bust

I decided that was it after i had my second baby this year in may, I'd always hated my boobs but after my 2 kids they were just like 2 empty sacks :/ AWFUL! I'd wanted them doing since i was about 18 but always said i'd wait til i'd had my babies first :))) I used to feel awful going on holiday & wearing a bikini! I even used to wear chicken fillets in my bikini top!! Haaa.... Can't wait for my holiday this year ;) x x x x

Re: Why did you have/want a BA?
I developed later than everyone else bt did eventually end up with a 34dd chest which I bloody loved lolol
Then I had my first child and they were gone lol, I always wore double gel bras bt I felt like I did in my early teens when everyone else was getting boobs and I wasn't. I did a lot of gymnastics and I literally didn't carry enough body fat to kick start pubity as I was all muscle!
I felt I was living a lie in my double gel bras and wudnt let my husband touch em.
So I had em done, scariest thing I've ever done and I'm only just starting to love them now.
Bt I am really really starting to love them :) xx

Re: Why did you have/want a BA?
I breast fed both my children, my son 2 and when my daughter was just 6months old I felt lumps in my breasts and this resulted in me having a lumpectomy on both breasts. I was only 23 and this left dents in my boobs were the scars were and after breast feeding any boobage I had before was totally gone. I literally hid my boobs away until I was 38. My family had grown and I felt I could do this something for me. Having a BA hasn't been easy for me, but I'd do it over again in a heartbeat. The change in my confidence from having boobs that are 'normal' for me is just incredible. Hate is such a strong and powerful word but its just not enough to say how badly I felt about my breasts before, love too is just as powerful a word and I really do LOVE my boobs now and am so grateful that was in a position to be able to do something about it. I do often think about those financially unable to do the same and knowing how I felt, if they feel even half about their boobs as I did mine, my heart genuinely does go out to them. Xx

Re: Why did you have/want a BA?
My boobs never grew :( - my mother in law once announced that I had fried eggs to the whole room whilst my mum told everyone I only got boobs when I was pregnant!! After 3 kids they was not only very small but very empty and I struggled after my daughter (baby no 3) to even fill a 32aa. Gel bras chicken fillets and hated showing my boobs!! Was with my ex boyfriend for 18 months and he never saw them once. Had always wanted to have a BA and now my family complete and I had the cash it was time to do it :-) xx

Mine have just never grown fully! I remember buying my first bra aged 11 from Ethel Austin in 34a and I've been the same ever since! Put on weight, lost weight but they stay the same!!

Oh miss vie no need for her to say anything at all! I wanted mine years ago but I couldn't have afforded it, at 24 I've still got plenty of time to enjoy them and afford holidays etc before we start our family xx

yeah for years when i was younger all the boys would say some right hurtful things and i was even too embarresed to breastfeed my eldest, i was so young and naive back then then i managed to express some milk for our youngest when she was in special care but cause she came so early my body just stopped producing milk

No people don't understand especially those overly confident people who feel you are given what you're given for a reason and accept it.. Not for me I'm afraidtinkerbell24 wrote:people who have boobies dont understand i dont think, god im now walking around the house in my sports bra or nothing lol

Re: Why did you have/want a BA?
I was never blessed with boobs, hated shopping for clothes as always had to look for something that would accommodate my bra with super sized chicken fillets! & bikini shopping for hols was the worst trailing the shops trying to find gel bikinis Just so I could feel /look more womanly and not get so down every time I looked at myself naked.I had always wanted to have a BA but kept putting it off as there was always other things I felt the money would be better spent on house ,kids etc and got it into my head that if I didn't wake up after the GA (have never had a GA before)I would be leaving my kids without a mum just so I could have boobs! ( anyone worrying about having a GA I found I actually quite liked it! No sooner than I drifted of into a nice cozy sleep the nurse was waking me up in recovery!)
After the nightmare of bikini shopping for our last summer hols I decided if I was ever going to have a BA I would need to have it soon as I was not getting any younger! So at the ripe old age of 45 3 days after returning from hols I booked a consultation and had op 2 1/2 weeks later! My only regret is that I wish I had done it years ago instead of living with a body I hated ! Now when I go shopping my 1st stop is always the lingerie dept! & when I take my bra of now I have boobs that are a part of me no more chucking the chicken fillets in a drawer and getting depressed!,every morning when I wake 1st thing I do is have a peek at my new additions to see how they are looking and what changes they've been up to..lol X
