D and DD cup - is there a big difference? Empty D and DD cup - is there a big difference?

Post by willows 17th January 2013, 1:00 am

At my 1st consultation with transform they lady asked what size i was looking to go to i said D/DD she said from her experience its best to pick the bigger size if the surgeon agrees it will be ok to do as from her own experience (she had hers done regretted not going for the bigger size so she had a 2nd op for bigger implants) and she said alot of patients say they wish theyd gone for the bigger size out of 2 options! the only thing is im thinking if i go with the DD will it look unnatural on my figure (i want the naturally big look not the fake look!) I am a size 8 small waist and frame but have got big hips but havnt got the boobs to complete the hourglass look.. I dont want to regret spending all that money and regretting the size being to small but im also worried about getting them done and feeling like they look v unnatural on my frame.

is there a big difference in size between a D/DD?

I have pictures to show surgeon how i would like my boobs to look and size i suppose he can judge what bra size id need to buy from looking at the pics i have?

the difference between each British cup size is 1 inch or 2.54cm
I find it's best not to dwell on cup sizes as they differ so much, for example a 30DD is the equivalent to a 36B in bra sizes, to get a 36DD equivalent is a 30FF and so on. it's therefore best to show pictures to your surgeon as to the look you want, then if you get that look you won't mind what size you wear after your opinion as you'll be happy with your outcome.

Yeah I would stick to your pics option Hun and completely forget the concept of cup size and stick to your photos!

Everyone I told I was getting my BA was like 'ohh don't go bigger than a dd!'
Now I'm a 32ff/32g and those same people can't believe they're than size.
People's perception of a cup size is generally totally wrong.

I picked the implant size I wanted based on the look I liked from trying them on, and got the size I wanted :-)

Also, the patient care coordinator shouldn't have any input whatsoever in your size. Lots of girls on here wish they'd gone smaller, so she shouldn't sway you either way. Stick to your pics and the look you like from trying them on, and you're onto a winner! :ok:

I posted last week saying now I'm in wires I'm glad I didn't go bigger. I would worry too much about your frame I measure a 32F and they don't look too big on my body. And when I asked for d/dd this is actually what I meant. So I didn't really know what I meant. Try the implants on and just make sure you're happy with the look they give you xx

This is the best thing I've read for ages! My surgeon has said I may only achieve a C but im a 28 inch so maybe they'll look like Ds :)

Hi,
I asked for a c/small d and had 260 overs. I'm now a 30DD which sounds massive but is perfect on my frame - I'm a size 8 (105lbs) and they look very natural.
I'd definitely take photos along to show how you'd like to look - mine are just what I wanted and I know I would've been disappointed if I had ended up with a 30c after all!

I was wearing 32B but they were too big (which makes sense now I know I'm a 30!) so I think I should have been wearing 30b/c really. I do have a photo trail but haven't updated it since a couple of weeks post op - ill PM you the details :)x

I'm a size 8.. And I was a 28 GG depending on my bra they either looked gigantic or normal it depends on your projection too I had mediums before and they were FAT on my little body.. Now I have xhp but they look better.
Falsies always looked smaller than naturals I think. I always panic I'm too big! g sounds HUGE!

Stick with your pictures hun then your surgeon will be able give you the amount off cc's to achieve the look you want :) That's what i did as at first i was offered 310's but when i showed him some of my pictures he changed mine to 415's & i'm so happy with the results their exactly what i wanted! x x x x x

:) thanks! Although I now take back the part about being 30B/C before - looking back it was clearly more like 30A!
