Re: Confusing Consultations! PLEASE help!
I had conflicting opinions too, one said over one said unders and the sizes I
could have as well. For me I had a strong idea of what I wanted. The main deciding factor for me was the confidence the surgeon I chose had about making my boobs look good for me.

Re: Confusing Consultations! PLEASE help!
Hi guys,
That is so helpful, thank you. I have made one consultation for two weeks time and will make at least one other. I went into the consultation thinking I knew precisely what I wanted: 330cc unders. Although the surgeon was as nice as he could possibly have been, he told me in no uncertain terms that unders would NOT give me the effect I was looking for (as natural as possible) given my current frame. My hopes are pretty much dashed and I've been obsessing ever since. I have 3 books on BAs and I consulted them last night when I came home. They all confirm what I thought about unders/ overs before. The skin on my chest is pretty thin, you can see my bones underneath from some angles so this concerns me. I know Mr Clarke favours overs but then I don't know why anyone would recommend something based solely on the fact it's their preference so maybe he has a point...
Soooo confused xx

I know you are stressing about tissue and bones I look like a xylophone naked!! Our idea of thin tissue and a surgeons is completely different I was 100% certain I would have to have unders because research told me that little breast tissue meant unders which as far as I was concerned I had. I was completely wrong I have a very natural look although caus my skin is firm they are taking a while to drop but are doing so nicely, I really would wait for consult and see what's said. Unfortunately alot of surgeons have preferences Americans only seem to do unders from what I've seen that's more of a trend. It has to be your decision who you trust at the end of the day. I think research is good as in recovery and possible complications but too much research into the actual op will be pointless as we don't know what low breast tissue is , we can't judge it my body mass is only 16 that makes me terribly underweight on paper but I had overs which meant I had breast tissue, again these are my personal views another consultation will help you a lot I think xx

I agree with all the advice the girls have given you above and would opt for a few more consultations. I had unders for my 1st ba and hoped I may have been able to have overs for my 2nd ba but it was a definite no to that from all 4 of the surgeons I did see. I was told at Transform that they had a surgeon who only did overs-I politley declined that offer! Like some of the girls have said its best for the surgeon to be deciding on the right placement for you. Good luck for your next consultation. x

I wonder if that surgeon was Mr Clarke! Apparent he has done over 5000 surgeries but as the first surgeon was so adament that unders would be best for me, I am definitely questioning Mr Clarke's advice...

Re: Confusing Consultations! PLEASE help!
I've seen 4 surgeons, had 2 ops... First op I was in recovery from 10 years of anorexia I was a size 6 (biggest I'd been in a long time) very very empty full of stretch marks, saggy boobs.
I saw nick Percival who said partials and big implant... Although a lift wouldn't be a bad ideas- i actually chose him as preferred surgeon but day before op they decided they wouldn't operate on me coz of my ED :(
Then went to Mr Khan at transform, he said big overs but I may get visibility in the upper pole.... They never got back to me so took it they too wouldn't operate
Que major ED paranoia!!!!!!
So I went to mills and mills in Spain under Brianda Mendoza.... She was lovely (I was naive and desperate). She did 400cc medium profile unders I was never happy with the results... Am sure I had double bubble but hey ho..
I have since put on 2 stone so a lot more body fat and had my re op on Saturday which was 445cc extra high profile overs with nipple lift (and a capsulectomy as I had CC) with dr mileto you can tell now the difference between the shape then and now I will try and dig out my old post BA pics to upload, I maybe able to do a screen shot if not as have it on DVD.
I would recommend seeing a couple more surgeons, you can ask them why they decided that placement would be best for you. My surgeon is an unders man and a strapping down man.. I had overs and no bandages or anything just dressings for my incisions, you have to trust they will do the best for you.
It's a huge decision to make, and I would definitely educate yourself as much s you can. Try the different surgeons and companies, see what suits you the best, if price is involved dont be afraid to try and haggle, they want your business!

Re: Confusing Consultations! PLEASE help!
Hi Kurukullachis,
Wow! What a story! I'm so glad you are finally pleased with your breasts, you've definitely been through the mill. Congrats on your recent surgery, how are you feeling?
Well I have been awake all night researching BAs. I guess i am slightly further forward and have chosen a couple more surgeons to book consultations with. However, given that you also had an ED (huge congrats for your recovery, I know how very difficult and painful that can be) and have had both unders and overs, I would absolutely love to see some pics if you manage to find some.
I'm sorry this message isn't longer or better written, kind of knackered after my night-long boobie research! I am feeling confused, excited, impatient but more than anything, really want to find a surgeon I feel 100% confident about because that hasn't happened so far...
Have a good day xx

Re: Confusing Consultations! PLEASE help!
Hey
I'm a lot better than I was last time round but I had a really rotten time before. Pain is a lot better this morning think I maybe bake to walk my poor dogs who are chomping at the bit to get out.
I've changed computer so don't know where the most graphic ones are but will keep looking.mmy mum may have copied and kept for me.m
One thing I would say is make sure you're up to an optimum weight before hand. Then reason they wouldn't operate on me before was because they thought I would think I was fat and rip them out (seriously!!!!!!!) my therapist was horrified by the entire thing but..
My pictures now are obviously only 4 days PO so very swollen and dressings still on. Im happy to pm you a pic .
I think you've hit the nail on the head with your last comment.. You need to find a surgeon you are 100% confident with. Do let us know the results of your next consultations.. Ill get some pics for u later

Re: Confusing Consultations! PLEASE help!
I can understand why they would refuse to operate on someone with a previous or current ED and whose body image wasn't good. I haven't had an ED for 17 years although I would like to lose some weight before I have a BA. I was going through some before and after pics of BAs online and I came across at least 3 girls who were clearly anorexic who'd been operated on. Their arms were extremely boney, their rib cages were sticking out and then they had these massive knockers. Looking at them made my eyes water so I admire any surgeon who refuses to do that. Think you yourself have obviously had surgery at a good point in your life, when you are at a decent weight to be able to carry off the implants. Would love to see a pic. xx
