Breast Implants and Pregnancy
Still in 2 minds about my BA, im 22, do I get them now or after I've had a family? Havent had any children yet but would like to start a family in the next 5 years. I'm a 32B at the moment hoping to go to a DD. But then when I have a baby am i likely to get double the stretch marks because I have implants?? :( Opinions pleeeease thank you xxxx

Re: Breast Implants and Pregnancy
Hey babe, i'm 23 and have no kids yet but hopefully before i'm 30. I'm having mine before kids because i think it is important to me because of confidence issues and think well i might as well do it while i'm young because when i have kids i think i'll be more reserved and cover myself up more so won't really get as much out of them x x x
Re: Breast Implants and Pregnancy
Its difficult for any of us to predict the impact pregnancy might have on your boobs, augmented or not. Some women's breasts survive pregnancy Scott free! Others will have some stretch marks, maybe a little sag and others will have a lot of stretch marks with a lot of sag. Until you've actually gone through it you just don't know...
What I will say is that implants aren't made to last for your whole life. They have a general life span of approximately 10 years, they could need changing sooner.. They could last forever, but we should all be aware of that fact... Now think about it hun, you plan on having children in the next 5 years, so if you get your implants now, you get 5 good years out of them, during that 5 years whilst you don't have kids, start putting away for your booby fund and if you then have children and they have any sort of impact on your boobs you have your money there to sort them out when you finish your family!
I'd personally go for them now and enjoy them whilst you're young hun, but that's just my opinion. Xx

Thank you both for your advice, it really does help, Im not too worried about them sagging, I can sort that out with another op, its just the stretch marks as they are irreversible. I have a consultation on Sunday so will talk further with the surgeon then... lots to think about! xxx

Re: Breast Implants and Pregnancy
It completely depends on your circumstances Hun, if you can wait till after then have it after, I had my 2boys then had my 1st ba , 5 year later I had my daughter and my boobs increased in size and then deflated again , the implant itself wasn't damaged or changed it was the look of them they sagged slightly and looked a tad deflated again so wanted them plumped back to what they were during pregnancy.
Also bear in mind they will need replacing a couple of times in your lifetime babe. For me it was 5 years after due to pregnancy , some replace them before the recommended 10 years some around the 10 year. Mark. The implant themselves may not be damaged but the look of them may change over time due to age, pregnancy, weight loss or gain etc. x

Re: Breast Implants and Pregnancy
Bio oil and Palmers body butter is great for stretch marks...i have them on my thighs and hips not because i'm big or anything, just because i'm prone to them x
Re: Breast Implants and Pregnancy
I'm also having the same dilemma, I'm currently pregnant with my first (due in 5days!!), I want to have a BA and inverted nipple correction but don't know whether to do this after having this child or whether to wait until we complete our family....it's a tricky one but I think that as the other girls have said, your implants won't be for life anyway so do what makes you happy now - that's going to be my philosophy!!
