Id give it until you aren't feeling too swollen. I had to drive to work after 2 weeks and reverse gear needed 2 hands. The seatbelt rubbed my boobs and they were sore. I would have done an emergency stop but I wouldn't have wanted to.

Gotta agree I didn't have unders and the belt was the most painful when driving it really made things uncomfortable to drive to the point I would drive with my right hand holding the belt away from my boobs!! I used to wear a really thick wooly scarf in between which helped, I'd wait til you feel ready caus if you in pain your concentration will be affected xx

If you are comfortable hun, then there's no reason why you can't go back to it. It wont affect your healing.
Re: back to driving lessons
Oooh getting back to driving was the worst part of my recovery! I managed to get a medical note so I could avoid long distance for the first week back ( after 2 weeks off work) but then they ran out of work for me locally and I had a 4hour job By wk 4. I found it really difficult, holding onto my boobs like the other girls said, at that stage every bump in the road was still pretty painful, I felt I slowed down loads so that I could take a corner slower as turning the wheel hurt, and obviously the lovely gear-changing experience!
I would leave it as long as possible hunni, definitely til you feel more comfortable and you have less swelling. Then maybe have a test run with the hubby before getting back to a lesson, just to make sure you can manage it x
