Back to reality!
Hey Ladies,
First day back at work for me today and OMG am I feeling it! I took it easy, I'm on light duties, so basically answering phones and typing etc which is a walk in the park compared to my usual working routine. But my back aches, my boobs ache and I am more tired than Mr Tired in Tiredland!
felt weird because no one at work knows about it apart from two people and so felt odd that I wasn't talking about my boobs to anyone, as spent the last two weeks with family and close friends and they are the main topic haha!
I also had my first post op check and had my strips removed ... My scars look great! The nurse said I can start using Bio oil on the scars, but I tried and it feels all bumpy and made my stomach turn haha! She did say it would feel that way, but i wasn't prepared for the bumpiness lol I'll give it another go tomorrow. Feeling great about my boobs. She said they are dropping nicely. Also gave me another sports bra too. I said about the shock absorber feeling weird to wear and so she came back with one that has hook and eyes at the front and also on the shoulder straps. Can't remember the make of it. Its so comfy, but looks as if my gran would of worn it during the war! Kept me feeling great at work though

Re: Back to reality!
It is difficult at first getting back to work, but over the course of the next week it does gradually get better hun. Make sure you get lots of rest when you get home to compensate for what you're losing out on at work.
The bumpiness from your scars is very normal hun. As the scar tissue breaks down from you massaging them they do flatten out and blend into your skin then.
Sounds like you're doing really well hun! Xx

Aw going back to work is very tireing. You'll get back into it soon. First week is the hardest. Your scars sound normal for how early you are and the massage will help them flatten out.

This is the part of the journey I'm least looking forward too xx
