I have my first post op check tomorrow..... I will be 5 days post op..... Just wondered what to expect from the appointment?

Your stitches will be checked and snipped if needed hun... The wounds will be assessed to see how well they're knitting together and if looking good your dressings will be removed and you'll be given the all clear to shower. If you need a little while longer you will be redressed and possibly requested to return again a week later for another wound check. Remember we all heal differently so if you have to wait another week its not a bad thing, MANY of us take a little longer to heal than others.

It's basically just a wound check hun. Hope it goes well for you. Xx

Ahhh thanks cookie....

I already have another check up booked for next Wednesday.... Because of how my surgery fell with Christmas they booked me a 5 day and 10 day check.....

I guess that means tomorrow I will see my incisions? Iv been feeling so good, I love my boobs but the idea of seeing the wounds does freak me out a bit :(

i just got a feel of my boobs by the nurse and she took off my outer dressing and i changed my steristrips yest (was told too) i had glue and peter mu husband changed mine and i must say my scars are so faint. just now. you will have nothing to worry about. im back on 3rd jan xx

yeah getting there starting to realise my boobs change daily and starting to love them. tgey seem to keep getting bigger lol
