I have my pre op consult today, I know they will be doing an MRSA test but what else do they do? Are there any definite questions I should be asking, as I don't think I have any at the moment and feel so relaxed about it all

They'll justbaskmyouna load of questions and make sure your fit and well to go ahead with surgery. Medical background, next of kin/emergency contact. And that you understand the procedure etc.

And final chance to ask the exact details of surgery, eg. Size make, projections of implant if yo want to know , ask about where your partner can stay whilst you're in theatre etc.

They swabbed me, my mouth, nose and then I was asked to swab myself in the groin ( not privates !) , for MRSA check as I had been in a hospital enviroment quite a lot in the last year x
