No bra after op?
hi... me again... feel like I'm constantly asking stupid questions haha!
My surgeon is Dr Carver. After the op, he has said that he prefers patients to go commando. No bra. Which I am fine with, I will follow his advice to the letter. But will I be taped up? or just have dressings over the incisions? Will my boobs be free to do what they want?
Each surgeon clearly likes different methods.
To be honest, reason why I'm asking is basically this... Will I be able to sit and stare and admire my boobs naked all day long for the first two weeks, or will they be hidden under bandages
Sorry for constant questions ladies, all this and still 19 days to go... it can only get worse from me i'm sure! hahaha!
xx

Re: No bra after op?
No BA questions are silly questions here sweetness
I guess your dressings will be dependent on what your surgeon wants from your healing?
If he doesn't think your boobs require any support then you'll just have dressings on the incisions and be able to switch your telly off and watch your boobs all day, yes.
If he feels they need support for the first week or two then you may be put in a binder or bandaged tightly.
And if you surgeon feels you boobs should be encouraged down, then a strap might be applied either in tapes or a firm band that sits over the implants.
Dressings are an individual thing babe and they're very dependent on the results you have right after surgery to help you get the best from your recovery. Xx

Re: No bra after op?
I am 7 days post op and I am all strapped up! I am also in a support bra, so sadly, I cant really see anything! I dont mind though, as I know they are being supported and nothing is getting in, or out! I am hoping to have the bandages off at my post op on Monday so I can see them a bit more, but I am not at a stage where I can post a lovely avatar yet sadly...hopefully next week! I had unders and I am pretty small, so Cookie is right that I probably need more support than a sports bra will give. x

I'm commando and have been since my op & I'm constantly flashing at myself in the mirror I love it. Iv tried putting my sports bra on but didn't like the restriction. It was very odd at first but by day 5/6 I felt fine braless :)
