FINALLY been fitted today... confused!

I have finally taken the plunge and got fitted today in John Lewis and Bravissimo!

Firstly John Lewis... fitted as a 32DD OR 30E...

Then Bravissimo.... Fitted as a 30FF!!!!!!! I tried on 5 30FF bras and they all fit! I don't get it! How can I be fitted a 32DD then 30FF? That's quite a difference! I must admit though the FF doesn't look that big, I guess cos it's a 30 band...when she said it I was like WTF?!?! But it's not a hammock like a thought!

I'm still not happy though... None of the bras I tried did anything for me. This lack of cleavage thing is just getting to me so much! I thought being measured would make me smile... but it hasn't!

Seriously, I'm sure I was more happy with myself before my BA! My little boobies could be faked into looking better... fake boobies just aren't doing it for me! Part of me feels I have made a mistake today... so drained.

Hey, I've found Bravissimo by far the best fitters so I would go with what they said. You're still early on and it can take several months before your boobs soften up and be made into a cleavage, especially as you had unders. Even after a BA, most women still use a push up/plunge bra to get a really good cleavage anyway (the bra's in Bravissimo don't usually do much in the way of cleavage, I just find them supportive and comfy for everyday). x

Ohh I felt a little deflated after going bra shopping for the first time, it just wasnt as easy as I expected! You'll find you'll measure differently depending what make/bra style you wear, it's really down to where you shop.

As for worrying about cleavage you'll find as they soften they will be easier to manipulate, and for killer cleavage you can try wearing a bra the next size down or one with a bit of padding just so they're popping out!

Some bras I don't even look like I've had a BA! It really is down to the bra and style so don't let today knock you down!x

Awww sweetheart I'm so sad for you that you aren't loving your boobs yet fr some it does take some time for the, to learn to love them.

Well the equivalent of a 30FF in a 32 band is a 32F

They have the same wired cups but different band sizes.

Always remember if you go up a band size, you come down a cup size and vice-versa.

Your boobs do look great babe. I'd say the bra you have on in your avi though is far too small in the cup, it definitely looks like you could do with a larger cup size.

Some bras also may be different fits so if you go against your usual buy then it would be best to be fitted in the bra.

Bravissimo are the best though babe and I'd take their fitting as the truth. Xxx

I do feel I am destined to still only life in gel/heavily padded bras! I didn't want this though. I wanted to feel happy shopping not still paranoid about how they look. I know it's still early but I just don't think I am going to achieve the look I want.
The lady in Bravissimo said a lot of ladies that she has fitted with fake boobs tend to lack cleavage. So frustrating! And yeah Alice, when trying on the 30ff bras I felt I looked the same as before my BA...madness!!
I think that bra in my avi was either a 34C/D... and yeah, it didn't fit right but I liked the squashed look, lol! I

I am just so sick of feeling like this, I hate how my life consists of me obsessing about my boobs and I know it's doing my partners head in...which kinda takes the magic out of the new boobs! I just want to feel positive like everyone else :'(

Hey hun, sorry you don't feel happy :( I'm pre-ba so don't have the bra fitting experience yet, but remember you're only 9 weeks post-op, some girls are still in sports bras then :)

Your boobs will take a while to soften and fluff so you can push them together, especially with you having unders, but I'm sure you'll see the difference in another couple of months :) xxx

Well, I don't get the all clear for wires until 15th Dec so I am being naughty... still living in my Macom! Thank you chick, I just hate waiting and think it's not gonna happen! I think a cleavage would be obtainable with overs xx

I'm sure you'll get the cleavage you want soon enough :) But i know it must be so frustrating waiting for your boobs to settle properly, it's the bit i'm really not looking forward to as i'm really impatient lol

Well so far I've been offered overs and the surgeon saw the photos of boobs i like and he didn't mention anything about not being able to get a cleavage. I'm seeing another surgeon in December (Paul Clarke who apparently favours overs) so I'll see what he says.

I know it must be so frustrating to wait, especially as now you have them and you've waited so long pre-ba, but you'll get boobies you love soon enough, i'm sure :) xx

Hun they will take a while to soften also and it's all about finding the right bra that does something for your boobs. There's so many styles, padding, push ups, balconetttes, t shirt bras. It's all about finding that style that you like.

As I've said before I never achieved a 'bum cleavge' with my first ba, although anything was better than what I and which was actaully nothing not even pinch!

I really do know how you feel but at the end of the day the surgeon can't create a cleavage with implants so if you're gappy you're gappy.

It's so common Hun try not to think that you will forever hate them or obsess over it. The will be a day where you're in the right bra and think wow I love them! X I know I did.
You will learn how to dres them also which makes a diffrnce. Fitted tops with right cut neckline.

Try not to obsess about your boobs hunny, they're there now and you will love them your just letting yourself not at the moment. X

30FF is still the equivalent of a 34E!!! The bandsize you were wearing pre-op. Thats a huge leap with your CC. Be happy :)

& you said yourself they aren't squishy yet so you know theres a way to go yet before you can say "this is it". I think your gonna drive yourself mad thinking "this is it" & It really is too soon to be saying that hun. PMA!!! (Positive Mental Attitude)..

You do look the size you're fitted zebra.

Maybe it would help you to research breast sizes in your band size to see just what your own look like. I think it's your actual perception of bra sizes that's getting in the way if you enjoying your own boobs hun. Xx

I got up Katie Price on the net when looking for 30ff... she's huge! The internet is not helping me, lol!

I know you're right Cookie and Cazzy with the PMA thing (something I have NEVER had) think I need a little extra help to be honest, thinking about seeing a counselor that deals with body issues... Think I need a little helping hand to help me believe in me.

Hang in there Huni , Im about 13 post op now and like you I have a gappy cleavage about 2 n abit fingers worth my boobs are softening up quite abit now and am now able to push them together to get cleavage!!!!
I know its easier said than done but pleaseeee try not to obsess or worry! If I'm ever worring about something thats going to take time I give myself a talking to and set a date further down the line and tell myself I'm not going to worry or give myself grief until then ... sounds daft but it works for me and usually by the time that date arrives everthing is just as I was hoping it would be! XXX

P.S meant to add that awfull gappy pic in my avi was taken on my phone in a M&S changing room at 2weeks post op boobs were stuck on looking high hard rocks that wouldnt budge for anything...lol XXX

Oh babe so sorry today wasnt what you expected it to be. I think all the girls have said everything i would have said but maybe it's just a little too early. Hopefully next month when you get the all clear to officially get fitted and wear bras, it will be a better experience for you and a lovely Christmas present. I think Mirren's experience is a good one to go off just to remind yourself that we all heal, drop, fluff and soften at different rates and for some of us its a little longer before we get our desired look.

I know the waiting game is sh*t but hopefully some of the other girls' experiences can help put your mind a ease just a little. Here's a group hug for you honey

Mirren - I have always thought your boobs looked great in your avi! Had no idea you were only 2 weeks PO!!!! Thank you for your advice, I think I am going to try what you do with the date thing! Maybe I should set xmas day as the day to see if I can squidge, lol! Nice to hear your story as you are a bit in front of my in the healing! Are you in bras all the time now then?

I hope it'll be a better experience but realistically I think this is it for now, the lady in Bravissimo said a lot of PO girls have trouble with the cleavage thing if they didn't have much of one with small boobs, which is sad to hear. I love your cleavage!!! But yeah, Mirrens story does help a lot, so do lot's of other girls on here but you know how it is, when you get a bit down it just takes over! It's nice to be able to come and vent on here

I did more research on unders than overs caus I was convinced I would need them. If you type in breast augmentation diary to you tube there are some great American girl diarys one is a girl called Danielle I think. The Americans only seem to have unders and the results are amazing it takes 6 months or more for them to reach full size as your muscle has to stretch the fluffing!! Your avi already looks good so I'd expect a big change over time. I had overs so not expecting any size increase infancy they'll prob get smaller. I think if you're patient they will fluff and blossom lovely I'm excited for you x x x

Aww hun I'm sorry to hear you're feeling so sad about all of this right now. Everything I've seem to have read and seen regarding unders is that they just take quite a bit longer until they really soften up to get movement and cleavage so hang in there! You're still so early in post op that your boobs will have a lot of changing to do in the future. I know 2 months feels like ages to us, as 1 week feels like forever to me, but I feel that things will work out for you and that you'll get the awesome cleavage you are looking for. :flowers: xx

Zebra that's a big size!! Try on one of your Pre BA bra's , I bet you will have a job to get it on . I did it the other day !

Hi Zebra I hope you're feeling happier. I think personaly after two ba's with unders it's better to wait before you start trying on bras because you've got a lot of softening to do yet. After my 2nd ba I wore sports bras for 3 months even though I was told I could go into underwires after 6wks, because after my first ba I was constantly trying to create cleavage and to be quite honest my boobs looked painful(even though they wern't) squashed and rigid stuffed into bras! In all honesty looking at your avi I think you're going to be really happy with your end result, its just going to be a waiting game. I've got gappy boobs because thats my natutral anatomy but like I think I thought I was going to have a 'bum' clevage asap! I can create a cleavage with the right bra. Try not to be upset and just think of the end result, which I'm sure you'll be happy with.x

Sorry to hear your feeling like this :( !! I'm sure in time your boobs will soften and be more moveable to create the cleavage you want. Can I ask did you have cleavage before your BA ? Please don't feel down though Hun your avi looks great and a lot of girls will be very jealous of your new boobies xx

Perhaps look back at your pre op photos... remind yourself where you came from. I often do this both when I am feeling down about my boobs and when I am feeling down about my weight. You and I are at similar stages and we both have to wear our macoms for 3 months!! I think we are getting upset as we expected to be healed and 'perfect' but we had major surgery a few weeks ago. I'm sure things will improve for both of us. I had overs and I am struglling with cleavage due to the issue with tenting!!
