Breast Uplift + Implants recommended surgeons??
Hi there - I am hoping to have the uplift + implants done early next year but really would like some advice on surgeons and how long it takes to go back to normal.
So far I have seen Dr. Sulaiman at Hospital Group and I also have contacted Mr . Sojitra at London Cosmetic Surgeons.
Anyone's tips/advice would be great and also if any one has any before and after shots they don't mind sharing would love to see.
thanks xx

Re: Breast Uplift + Implants recommended surgeons??
Hello and welcome to Breast Buddies Ruby
A BA/Uplift is a very technical procedure that takes great skill babe, so you really must do your homework when looking for a surgeon to do this.
You first have to decide whether or not you'd prefer to have a BAAPS/BAPRAS surgeon, these surgeons are generally at the top of their game, or if you're happy to go with a surgeon from one of the larger commercial clinics. If the commercial is your choice then you must be sure to check on the GMC register that they are on a specialist register for plastic surgery. With an uplift it would also be very beneficial to to if they are also on a specialist register for reconstruction also.
When you've made your decision about whether or not you'd prefer BAAPS/BAPRAS or surgeon from the commercial clinics you can then narrow down your surgeons to the clinics they surgeons work. For example the baaps surgeon will work in Spire, MyBreast, BMI... The others will work in Transform, Harley Medical Group etc.
Take a look at the link in this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] babe. You'll find you can locate clinics in your area with the link. If you call the clinics you're interested in you can then request a list of surgeons in your area. Check the surgeons qualifications on the GMC register as I mentioned above babe. This is very important. You will then probably have narrowed your list down again in doing this. Lastly go on line and google the surgeons name for past patient reviews, you generally get a feel then for who you'd be interested in seeing and then you can make an appointment with a surgeon of your choice to have a consultation.
Having more than one consultation with different surgeons is advisable hun, so you can compare surgery plans and surgeons approaches before making any decisions about which surgeon would be right for you. Xxx

Re: Breast Uplift + Implants recommended surgeons??
I had this done 9 weeks ago and as Cookie has said do your research. I saw 2 surgeons at MYA initially and when I did my research one wasnt on the specialist register and neither were BAAPS/BAPRAS registered and they had no experience of reconstruction so I went elsewhere and went with a wonderful female surgeon in Birmingham at Spire. She had all the necessary qualifications I wanted and is an expert in reconstructive surgery. She took her time with me in the consultation and I knew instantly she was right for me. This is her website [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I travelled 100 miles to see her and I thought see was fab but finding the right surgeon is a personal thing. I am over the moon with my results and my scarring is barely noticeable at 9 weeks and my result is so much better than I ever expected it to me so I wuld recommend her but as I said its a personal choice and you need to decide what you want in a surgeon, do your research and get some consultations. I knew when I had found 'the one.' Once you have been around the forum a bit longer I will share my pictures with you. xx

Re: Breast Uplift + Implants recommended surgeons??
Hi thanks all for your advice. I went onto the BAAPS website and the surgeon I had the consultation with wasn't registered so I don't think I'll use him. Dr. Sojitra is but he is more pricey. Another one that looks highly recommended is Mr Rajiv Grover but there is no email address - I may call them Monday to see what the prices are like.
Thanks x
