All done! :)

So I am all done my BA!!! Feeling much better than I expected to. Didn't even get sick after the anesthesia, but they did give me something to help with that while I was in surgery that apparently lasts 12 hours. I have to say that laying on that operating table was the scariest thing ever. I almost started crying I was so scared. I think what freaked me out the most was being put to sleep and not knowing when I'd wake up, and just the general feeling of "what am I doing to myself?!". But it all went really well and they said I basically didn't bleed much at all and it went pretty quick. The nurse was so nice and helpful after and they took really good care of me. In an hour and a half I was all good to go and my boyfriend picked me up. Can't wait to go home and lay in the pillow fortress I made for myself and start the road to recovery. They said I'll need to keep the dressing on for 48 hours, so I'm looking forward to really getting a good look at them. All in all its been a good experience and I'm happy I went through with it finally after all these years of thinking it'd never happen. Hoping the boobie blues don't kick in, but I told my boyfriend to expect it if it does! Haha. He's been really great and supportive through all of this.

Sorry if this all doesn't make sense and that its a bunch of rambling. Still feeling the affects of the drugs haha.

Oh and for any girls that have nipple piercings and were curious about when to put them back in, my ps said that I could put them back in tomorrow. I have had them for about 8 years so I'm not worried they'll close up.

Congratulations honey! Going down to theatre is one of my fears but I just need to remember stories like yours, that I'm not the only one and when I wake all will be great! xx

Thanks ladies :). The only real pain I seem to be having is not in my boobs, but just above my lower back that the pain meds isn't taking away. I really hate sleeping on my back. Pretty hard to sleep with this pain unfortunately.

Lisa - Honestly that was the worst part of it all because you're waiting as they get you to lay down and strap you down and then put a blood pressure monitor on your arm and put the IV. Then they put the mask over your face and a few deep breaths and you're out and back awake again like nothing even happened! Except for now you have some nice new boobies and this semi painful weight on your chest, but nothing like some pain meds won't cure. Are you going to be a day case?

Pop a hot water bottle or a heat pack in the small of your back Alexandria and when you sleep in your pillow castle, a rolled towel in the small of your back helps lovely along with another pillow under your knees to take the pressure of your back.

It does get easier sweetie. xx

I did have the hot water bottle and pillow under my knees but it just seemed like everything I did I couldn't get comfortable. I rubbed some A535 on my back out of desperation and that seemed to help a bit. Not sure if I'm supposed to use that but it was pretty bad. Luckily I woke every few ours to take my medication so that worked out well haha.

I took a quick peek at the yesterday without the surgical bra and they look great. Definitely look like the pre dropped and fluffed picture Cookie posted so I can't wait to see my results when they do!

Thanks again ladies! Just took a shower by myself today and was able to wash my hair and shave my armpits myself. Was very impressed with myself. My boyfriend didn't seem to think it was as impressive haha. He doesn't get it of course. I took the dressings off too and got to see the incision marks which don't look too bad. My boobs are so hard right now and I can't even feel it when I touch them really. Such a strange feeling. I know it's all part of the healing process though!
