Re: Tenting of cleavage
It's quite common in the early days, but can calm down and rejoin the breastbone after all the sweeling has gone and the skin has stretched. My skin was lifted for a while.
Re: Tenting of cleavage
How far into your healing did you have that? I'm 4 months now.x

Re: Tenting of cleavage
Mine was spongy and lifted for about 4-6 months... (sorry I can't be more specific, but it went away so gradually I didn't notice). It wasn't really tented, but swollen and spongy-feeling.
Hope this helps!

Re: Tenting of cleavage
Thanks for getting back to me ladies! I've got an appointment to see my PS on Thursday so hopefully will get more info then. It doesn't feel spongey or swollen, it's just basically like the skin in my cleavage doesn't go down to the rib cage.x

Re: Tenting of cleavage
I had the same hun. It took mine a good 8 to 10 months to settle. I had a terrible time feeling comfortable in bras because of this but it did eventually settle. Xx
Re: Tenting of cleavage
Just found this post and it has reassured me as I have had a horrible morning worrying that I will never look nice in a bra as I have tenting when I wear a bra. Its gone when I wear my macom or I'm braless but the second I put a wired bra on its hello raised cleavage....

Re: Tenting of cleavage
Well I went to see my PS on Thur...
Despite my description of 'slight tenting' in my email I think I had him worried it could have been symmastia, which if course it isn't! Ha God love him.
He had another surgeon with him and they both agreed that it wasn't, but that it was 'slight tenting', caused by the weight of the implants, which is why it's noticeable when i lean forwards. My PS doesn't think it warrants going back under the knife but took some photos to show some colleagues to see if any bright ideas came up. One thing he mentioned as a possibility was thermage treatment to tighten the skin between the breasts, but he did say that this would painful with the skin being just over the bone. He said that he would back in touch to let me know of any options. He didn't say anything about swelling/ it going down in time but it didn't feel like swelling to me.
5stonedown I am a few months further down the line than you though hunni so for you it could well be swelling!x

Re: Tenting of cleavage
Glad its not anything serious hun. Will be interesting to see what he comes up with :)
I have some tenting too - hopefully its cause they're very new & need to settle. I'm not worried yet. Do you have any pics that you wouldn't mind sharing?
