Getting really nervous....help xxxx
Ok girl, this is probably totally normal, iv been buzzing and sooo excited about my BA until this morning Nerves kicked in as soon as I saw my ticker saying 6 days!!!
Don't know what's wrong with me, keep thinking in gonna be able to feel it all happen under heavy sedation (im day case so no GA for me)
Also panicking about silly things like infections
Is this normal....why am i thinking these things?? Iv been waiting for this for 9 years!!!
This is so not like me!! Please say it will pass and it all part of the journey........
Love Nikki x

Re: Getting really nervous....help xxxx
I was really nervous too about a week before then it settled and i got nervous again just before the surgery so it's completely normal to be worried. Just try and think about how happy you'll be afterwards and try focus on thinking about that :)
But it is normal to be worried, I had days where I was excited and days where I panicked and got nervous xxxx

It is all part of the journey hunny, and I've been nervous/excited with all 3 of mine! It's totally normal to have last minute nerves but read a few surgery stories amd it will put it all in perspective and get in your mind why your having it done..!
Heavy sedation? Have they actually said you're not having a ga, I was a day case as many others have been and you still have a ga hunny. Xxx
I've never heard of just having heavy sedation it's not really suitable for having a ba. Xx

This is completely normal hun. I think for most people the week leading up to their op is the scariest! Just think of the reasons your doing it and the fab results your going to get at the end. Xx

Re: Getting really nervous....help xxxx
Hi,
I was a day case and still had GA - might be worth checking in case you've misunderstood!
I had mine on Wednesday so am 4 days post-op, and have not had a single moment of regret. It's honestly one of the best things I've done, and whilst the nerves kicked in when I was laid in the room, it was only for about 30seconds and then I woke up and it was all done!
Good luck and don't worry - its so much easier and quicker than you imagine xx

Wow, I'm not sure I'd want deep sedation for a ba but if that's how they do their day cases. I would ask what it is exactly, how it works, etc. if they use same stuff that's in a ga.?

Aw Hun your nerves are all normal and once it's done you will wonder what all the worry was about, I expect your more nervous as its sedation not ga but I'm sure if that's the way they do their day cases there any lots of girls that have had it done that way, but can truely understand your concerns, I'm sure you will be just fine Hun, I assume a deep sedative is similar to a local anaesetic ( can't spell! ) if it is you won't feel a thing Hun, I had c section that way and it was pain free, good luck xx

H Nikki. Like everyone else has said, these nerves are all very normal. In the days leading up to mine yesterday, I had some really crazy thoughts and felt quite exhausted with it all. It was also difficult to concentrate on anything! You'll be absolutely fine and hopefully enjoy the whole experience! x

Thanks Mummy me!
Iv had 3 c-sections and was awake for all of them too. (spinal and epidural) Its local 'and' sedation drug so apparently you don't remember anything at all, you just wake quicker and don't get the sickness that some experience. Iv never had a GA, apparently its just not as heavy, you can still breath alone or with a little help, no tube down throat to keep you breathing like a GA. That's all i know though, i don't know anyone that's had a BA done under it though so will be good to get feedback on here hopefully xxx

I have heard of the sedation being used. I'm sure you will be fine, just not very common. Ment to help with recovery! You could ask your surgeon to put you in contact with past patients so they can tell you what its like xx

To become active you just have to post and the admin decide to make you active when you have posted enough so they can make sure you are genuine I think xx
