Implants .........
Ok, I'm confused (doesn't take much!) .............
How many types of implants are there?
And positioning? .......... High, low? What does all that mean?
When I went for a consultation I was told that there was only one type of implant and it didn't matter what pictures I'd taken in to show them as my boobs would look exactly the same as what they were but just bigger :-/ which is why I'm confused now .........

Re: Implants .........
I'd be very worried if they told you there was only one type of implant as this is a lie, there are textured implants, smooth, round tear drop shape (anatomical), high profile, extra high profile, moderate, low profile and their are many different brands, each with different widths and projection. A surgeon will need to pick an implant that will fit your breast width diameter and have the right projection to give you the look you want.
If that's what you were told if it was me I would not be going back there.

Re: Implants .........
By type do you mean shape? You can get round or anatomical (tear drop) implants.
The implants can go over the muscle (under the breast tissue), or under the muscle.
High, moderate, low etc is the profile of the implant. This is how far out the implant will stick out. So an implant with a low profile had a bigger diameter but not so much projection as an implant of the same size with high profile.
I'd suggest you go and see another surgeon hun. This doesn't sound like something a surgeon should be saying to you as it depends on the positions etc.
I hope this helps in some way xx
