Calling your clinic for advice.
Twice in a week now I've read here of clinic 'receptionists/patient care co-ordinators' giving out medical advice which has been wrong. They have no business handing out medical advice and if you're concerned they should refer you to the clinic nurse or surgeon.
Please be advised that although receptionists and patient care co-ordinators work for these cosmetic clinics they have no medical training at all.
The only advice you should receive if calling with a concern about your healing should come from the clinic nurse or your surgeon. Do-not accept advice from anybody else!
Those who have aftercare will have paid for post-op advice when needed. It comes as part of your package so you have a right to demand you speak with a nurse or surgeon.

Re: Calling your clinic for advice.
Well said cookie, it's quite frightening how someone with no medical background and is just a sales person ultimately can dish out advise and sometimes in contrast to actual advise of the surgeon or clinic nurse.
I know the only person I'd want telling me or advising me is my surgeon or his head nurse.
Because if something was to go wrong or needed attention later on I'm sure the receptionist or care coordinators wouldn't take the blame. ! x
