What can I do
Hey .... Going stir crazy again !
I'm only one week post op and the lack of exercise is killing me . I'm a runner so i know that will be off the mark for poss another 6 weeks . But what other form of exercise will they allow me to do either in another week or so ?
Ice skating ?
Spin class ?
Cycling?
Swimming ?
Thanks

Re: What can I do
None. Hunny.
You shouldn't even lift shopping bags and Hoover for 6 weeks. !
You certain,y won't be ale to do any cycling, ice skating or swimming. I'm afraid it's walking is the only form of excersise you will be able to do for the time being sweetie.
I'm a gym addict so I know how it feels trust me. You need to let your body recovery and have them new boobies remain stable and recover in the next few weeks. Trust me 6 weeks fkys by and once ou get the go ahead to go back you will have so much motivations and drive. Muscle memory as well means your body will come back very quickly.
You don't want to do anything that will compromise your recovery and them gorgeous new boobs .
6 weeks out of your gym life is a small price to pay for years of gorgeous boobs that you've just paid for.
It will go so quickly hunny and do lots of walking for the time being to get you out in the fresh air and aid your recovery and give you a small fix of excersise !

Re: What can I do
Hi MrsBall - I am nearly 7 weeks now and desp to get back to the gym - forgot to ask my ps at the 6 week check. Is it ok to go back now? i feel ok still a bit tender but the scars are healing nicely. Is swimming ok? what sort of machines are ok to use at this stage? I usually do the bike, treadmill then do some ab core exercises and weights. I know weights arent good but will the others be ok? my belly is getting saggy lol x

Re: What can I do
I'm 6 weeks today following uplift and BA and I've been told I can start exercise now but to start gently and gradually increase frequency and intensity. I've been told to stay away from the weights for 3 months.

Re: What can I do
The general rule is 6 weeks hunny, but I would phone your clinic to double check and if they're happy and give you the all clear then go ahead.
As for swimming again ask your clinic if they're happy your scars are all closed up so there's no chance of infection.
Once you do have the all clear you can start to resume your workouts as you were before however listen to your body and don't ever strain yourself and your body will always tell you when to stop if you feel any pain.
Start with low impact cycling and cross trainer not using the arm motion again your body will tell you I'd your over doing it!
As for weights just be careful Inthink the general rule there is to start very light and work back up at around 12 weeks (3months) .
Muscle memory means your body will come back very quickly :) .

Re: What can I do
Thanks hun. Just dont put too much pressure on yourself. If you hadnt had the BA you would have got that 7lb off no problem! If you dont get there dont think that you are a failure, you need the time to recover so it might not happen before xmas but its only 7lb and the improvement your new boobs has made will be better than the improvement losing another 7lb will make I'm sure xx

Re: What can I do
For the next 5 weeks Saranne you're going to have to get your mindset into your healing being priority. You can loose a few pounds/tone up in a couple of weeks, but could you find another 4K if you did any damage from excercise?
It's a hard reality check isn't lovely, that that basically is what it means. If you even so much as sneak a little gym session in there, even if you feel great and do damage your new boobs your after care could then become void and you'll then be left holding the bill for repair.
6 weeks may initially sound like such a long time. But after wanting your boobs for so long and then spending so much to get them, to enable you to have the best shot at having the best result possible that you paid for...6 weeks then doesn't sound so bad does it hun? Xx

Re: What can I do
all the girls advice to wait wait wait is the best advice. I didnt wait long enough and suffered for it - no real damage but lots of discomfort and set my recovery back for longer than Id have had to wait if Id given myself proper time to recover.
Am a runner too so understand your frustration - makes me proper moody bag when I cant get out! Im thrilled to say that having the bigger chest didnt stop me though. It was one of the things I weighed up before I had the ba - would having a chest mean I didnt run so well. But with a super strength shock absorber I run great. It wont be long for you - time will fly by - I really cant believe its been a year since I had mine! x

Re: What can I do
I have just scoffed a lump of bread pudding, I normally walk my Dog a lot at the common, he's far too strong for me to walk for a while I have a very jiggy ass at the minute and nice ( not) cute dimples on my thighs appearing. I haven't weighed myself, I know I have put on weight on from being less active, I never normally sit still. Just realised how being a cleaning fanatic keeps me trim!

Just got back from my run before and remembered there is another one in the fridge. I need to tie something on the handle! Im torn between thinking well I ran well this morning - I could have it no problem and thinking I will have cancelled out all that hard work if I scoff it!
