Noticeably different..
Ok so my bf mum just came round to check on my progress and while she was here I said I would pop in shower so could she dry my hair.
She asked if she could have a look at my new additions so of course I said she could.
Apart from being horrified with the scars, she asked why one scar was significantly larger and higher up the breast than the other. Now I've looked obviously in the mirror but not particularly noticed this before but now she's pointed it out its worrying me.
Both scars are bullet hard underneath which I think is natural at this stage but she's right, as I got tape measure out and measured , my left hand side scar is 7 cms long, the right about 4.5 cms. How long is normal? Also the larger one is more on breast and the other in the crease of new implant to rib area.
Furthermore, it made me look at my nipples and the right hand side has less distance base to nipple than the left so it actually looks lob sided. Again about a centimetre difference.
Boobs were the same size before op and not sure if they will even out to same size when I am fully healed? Has surgeon put implants in a different place and this is why one is higher ? Is that the reason the scars have ended up in different places?
Omg, making me freak slightly :(
What do you think? Any ideas???!!! Xx

Re: Noticeably different..
Please don't freak, I'm sure your nipples will settle and even out. My scars are not even, 1 being in the crease and the other being on my breast like yours but my breasts and nipples are even.
I'm sure if you are worried you could call your clinic and ask to see someone about it?!
As for the scar sizes maybe the surgeon struggled to get the implant in the 1 side :/ I'm not sure. I think 4-5cm is about normal but I guess is depends on implant size. Xx

oh no honey, i don t know?
my scars are different too but i assumed this is because of the asymmetry.

Re: Noticeably different..
I really wouldn't worry about your scars hun, they heal to be so light you can barely see them any way. It may be that the surgeon had more difficulty getting the implant into one breast than the other. This will also explain why one scar is slightly raised on the breast whilst the other sits in the crease. The breast that took a little more trauma is taking a little longer to drop than the other, when it does, the scar will come down the breast and settle into the crease just like he other, this will then also sort out your nipple symmetry lovely. Xx
Re: Noticeably different..
Going for 2 week check up on Saturday so will ask then, don't know if difference would be from possible swelling or if they have been put in unevenly?
That would be just my luck, ending up with a wonky pair!! Joy!! Think they must have had more difficulty putting in the leftie as this was defo the most bruised side, which may explain the scar difference , but seriously the nipples and placement is a far more scarier prospect !! Hope your right cookie and it evens out eventually
Thanks again xxx

Cookie, I know you must get inundated with requests, but i just put a few pics on a picture trail. Would you mind taking a look, as seeing them in print is different, it seems one is much higher up than the other the left has dropped top section and looks nice and round, but this is the one that had the most trauma and has the higher up nipple.
worried now more than ever!

they'll settle down!
Cookies right, try not too worry, my scars were uneven, one larger than the other but once my swelling etc settled they are both in the crease now, the difference in your nipples are probably just one boobs got more swelling/trauma than the other so will settle in time too.X
P.S on off my scars was 1cm longer than the other and looked like a jagged edged line its healing quicker than the neater looking one, still bumpy when pressed but really faint after just over 7 weeks. x

Re: Noticeably different..
Emily, try not worry, my right boob was higher first week then they evened out and now my left is higher! At the time of one being higher than the other, my nipples were all wrong too. I know it's hard not to stress but try keep calm and just let them heal
I also have one scar bigger than the other and it's actually the bigger scar that's healing better!xx

Re: Noticeably different..
Its very early days hun. Each breast heals at different rates so try not to worry too much. Think of it as 2 seperate operations. I'm sure things will settle down as you heal.
