Re: D or DD's
The size of a D or DD depends on the back size hun. For example a 40DD is a lot bigger in the cup that a 32DD. I wouldnt worry about quoting a size in the consultation as everyone has a different view on what a D or DD is. I would take some photos with you of the size you want to look. It doesnt matter what the size on the tag of your bra is as long as you are happy with the way they look!

Re: D or DD's
I agree with 5stonedown babe. Forget about a bra size and focus on a look.
We all have our own perceptions of what a D or a DD cup is and that can vary greatly between person to person, even between you and your surgeon. You could tell your surgeon you wanted a D cup and their perception of a D cup might be your perception of a C! So it's always best to look for boobs that you like... Take those pics with you to the consultation. Your surgeon doesn't work in cup sizes anyway, they work in Volume(CCs) so seeing what you want rather than you telling them what you want gives them a much better opportunity to give you as close as possible the 'LOOK' you want.
Looking for pictures of women with a similar body type as yourself helps a lot to as it just gives a better idea of what can possibly be achieved from your bod try type. You can find pictures in men's mags such as Nuts or pics of celebs in bikinis in gossip columns. Xx

Re: D or DD's
I have to agree with the others, best not to think about bra size and concentrate on the look you want to achieve and showing a surgeon pics of boobs you like gives them a good idea of what you want. It's very difficult to explain your expectations but it's so much better to show them.
Re: D or DD's
Thanks Ladies. I totally see what your saying i will have to send the fiance to the shops and pic up some mags to look through as im sure i would get a few funny looks .
I had a letter through today about my consultation i have to send a form back with a few details on like address (even tho they have it) next of kin, gp details etc. Did anyone else have to do this ?

Re: D or DD's
I didn't have to for my consultation, but I did have to fill that form in at my pre op appointment. Lol I got the boys in work to bring their lads mags in for me, I felt a bit silly buying them
Re: D or DD's
Yeah I had to fill in all these details when I arrived at my consultation

Re: D or DD's
The D/DD thang, was busting out of the Marks and Spencers DD , and the nurse said looks too small, you look a good DD to me ( but still swollen), then went off to get another bra, and the 32D was a great fit , DD too big. So it's different horses for different courses!! when the surgeon was chatting to my H pre op at Riverside, he was talking in will be more then a handful, etc, blokes hey, I was in the loo thinking blimey!

Re: D or DD's
Yup I would totally forget about the cup size as every bra is made different in all the shops, rather annoying actually. I tried sports bras on yesterday in different makes and I was a different size in every single one! Take pics along of some errr 'models' and the likes of your preference :)
